A must try when in Dubai, only AED1.00 per ride. Worth it, ride through time and feel how old Dubai was like. The boats are sturdy even if old. Drivers arent rowdy and respectful. The crews manning the entry and exits are polite too.

It is a wonder that the creek water clean despite it is being in the City.

Nothing compares the convenience of taking the Abra to and fro to this station. We crossed over from the Al Seef station and it was so easy.
The ride costs you only 1 AED per person. There’s a very short waiting time too

This is very old traditional market which is kept in a nice and clean shape. I enjoyed walking around this market as it has many good stuff which include, clothes, carpets, souvenirs, and things you could think about. It also has good quality spices including Saffron. There are also many shops which are wholesale and you could buy bunch of stuff in very low price. Must visit place if you are around

Quite the authentic experience, the souq is a marvel and the Abra a funny and must try journey with beautiful scenery and impressive buildings.
When you go to this sort of town, be sure to take the Abra and do the tour in the canal and also make sure to visit the bazaar where an amazing and sensoriel experience await with the spices and all the colors!

Went to Dubai in september 2022, with a typical 4 days travel tour to visit.
Had a chance to go to the old souk by boat crossing from the old dubai
Quite exiting little boat transfer. Good for photos, but keep safe not to drop any equipment into the water, when boat is moving

Love to walk down the Souk. So many spices and other souvenirs. Pleasantly accosted by sellers seeing me with my London T shirt on. Thinking I'm a tourist... not resident for 13 years. 6 times I heard "Luvvly Jubbly" a Del Boy special.

Visited old souk in the early morning and rent a small boat to cruising on the Dubai creek.

We spent 60 AED for a whole boat, can be cheaper if you share with others. It takes around 30-45 minutes to do a round trip and you can choose where you want to stop and they will drop you. The boats are operated by RTA staffs.

It is a interested way to see the other side of Dubai. On the one side there is a Deira, the old town to see all the old building, mosques, and life of ordinary people working and living in dubai. One the other side there are the fancy buildings, cafe and clubs.

Definitely worth the price and a good way to explore Dubai.
