Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Tho its a small regimental museum it packs a lot in. All the staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful and their experience shows. The trench tour is worth the admission by itself

A great day out. Paid about £6 for an adult entry. Interesting small museum detailing the history of the Staffordshire regiments through all the major conflicts up to present day. So many interesting artefacts from medals to equipment uniforms to artillery. So many fascinating objects in all of displays. A museum well set out and extremely interesting. Included in the admission price is access to mock trenches which are a real eye opener to what the soldiers must have experienced in WW1. There is plenty of information to educate you and also added sound effects! The trail through the woodland area although small has some fascinating information and also incredible stories on the various soldiers throughout WW1 & WW2. There is a lovely memorial to the fallen which then leads onto the WW2 static displays of a pillbox and Anderson shelter. The Air raid shelter also has the sound effects of an air raid which is quite unnerving to be honest! The museum staff are very friendly and helpful. I bought a picnic as there is not a permanent cafe. There are plenty of places to sit with a picnic. Parking was free and ample. There is even a small play area if you have children. The shop is small but you can purchase soft drinks and small toys and sweets. All in all a good day. Informative, enjoyable and quite reasonably priced.

Very interesting displays throughout the regiments history.
Lovely staff, shame the cafe wasn't open.

Great visit after all these years passing the place, such a welcome from volunteers. You need to read all signage and information but, well explained. Follow the route via the trenches first, such an experience, god bless our for fathers. Nice site now I want access to the Whittington barracks for a visit.

Wonderful museum, packed with information about the regiments and lots of artefacts . Military vehicles on display outside. Highlight is the outdoor area with trenches and air raid shelters, all with cool audio and sound effects. There is a themed play area, and toilets and small shop inside. Good parking.

A relatively small internal museum that still packs in a fair bit on display. Well worth a visit if you appreciate the military history and age of some of the memorabilia. Outside there is a surprisingly large recreation of WW1 trenches which is great, along with other outdoor war time structures including Anderson shelters and a community air raid shelter. Not to mention a number of tanks on display. The low entry fee is worth the couple of hours you'll spend here if you take the time to absorb the information and not just rush around.
