Lovely place to take family out for the day, also pets love it too :D, altho there are no shops near the beach, so bring your own towels and Food/Drink :D

Very sturdy hard standing to put your car on for a while. We sat in the car to eat fish and chips and watch the ocean.

Nice spot to sit and have lunch or park up and walk along the beach. Pretty much always windy even on the nicest of days.

Starting to feel very.... Whitley Bay. The beach is gorgeous, the facilities seem to be there. Large caravan parks, pay to park (voluntary)... loosing the Scottish feel and feeling more commercial. Hope they can stop it before it too late. I guess the NC500 is probably saturating them.

Now charging for parking which was disappointing as other reviews said it was free, I know it's not much but even so, wasn't expecting to pay. Machine has contactless payment and coin. Lovely beach but not much there other than a small seafood place. So we went into the village and the only dog friendly place was the hot chocolate shop. Why are all these smaller places in Scotland so dog unfriendly? Such a shame, we won't fuss with visiting again.
