A nice place to take your dog or just to explore on your own, stunning vistas, bird song and if the weather's great then even better!
I can still imagine this being a nice tranquil place to be even in the missle and rain.

Car parking (free) on mud / gravel at the base of the mine. Walking for about 20 minutes will take you up to the engine house and chimneys of one section of the mine. Stunning views across the valley to further mines on the opposite hills. Uneven and sloped pathways throughout…recommend sturdy footwear and checking out routes before going. Disability access restricted depending on disability of course. Great photo opportunities and unlike other mines completely free…
