I can’t say enough about how welcoming this museum is to the public. Absolutely fantastic place -all the staff are so accommodating and knowledgeable about all the exhibits they have on show, so engaging really made the experience worthwhile, museums, like this are so much more engaging than some of the bigger corporate museums ( they are good too ) but museum like this. for me and my son who is 12 years old was totally fascinated by the stories of the staff who actually had worked on some of these exhibits . Thank you to all the staff you made out of a truly fantastic history lesson with all the bells or whistles.

What a gem of a place. Excellent plane collection and exhibits. Really recommend the extra tours. Was given a tour of the Nimrod by a chap that used to fly on them. Can't get better or more informative than that!

Firstly, I think it’s important to mention this Museum is run by dedicated volunteers that really put their heart and soul into the place. My wife and I took a group of Harley Davidson enthusiasts there for their open day. (15 shiny bikes) They led us through and parked us under the Delta wing. We all had a really good day out and are planning to go back soon. The tour of the Avro Vulcan is an absolute must. Our guide was so knowledgeable you could be forgiven for thinking he had designed it, built it, flown it and taken it to the Falklands. We have driven past this place hundreds of times and when we finally visited we asked ourselves why we had never been before. Great place for anyone remotely interested in aircraft.

Quite interesting, and unique in it's own way this Museum. The Museum itself is not so big/huge but there is quite plenty interesting stuff to see. Especially those huge planes scattered all around the place from: ex-military planes, commerciall planes etc. You can explore/check out upclose, in person each plane if you will. The tickets price is very fair and not expensive :) so if you want to have a bit more interesting weekend day with you families or friends you can visit this place. My verdict would be: 7.5/10 good one!

Really enjoyed it with the kids, the tour was excellent.

I think they're missing a couple of tricks of some kind of treasure hunt type thing for kids (buy a kids pack) to find things on each of the exhibits and learn a bit more. And personally I would have liked to have seen more technical details on each of the aeroplanes, types of engines, thrust, top speeds, range etc almost like top trump cards.

All that said, we had a great time!

A great place to visit for all the family!

You can buy tickets in advance online and family tickets too.

We also opted for tickets for a tour of the Vulcan bomber, which were very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend ????????

Visited this place on a Saturday Morning and it was very easy to find via SatNav. On arrival plenty of parking and helpful staff to explain and guide through the museum. Tonnes of information, images, equipment and details regarding aviation and machinery with a great shop with lots of things to purchase. The staff are helpful and informative about the aircraft and plenty to see and do to last a few hours. There is a also a lovely Café with seating area with a good selection of snacks and warm and cold drinks. Would definitely revisit this place as there is a lot to see, some amazing aircraft and really helpful and friendly staff.

Very good wheelchair friendly museum. Includes the Herald, G-ASKK, I flew from Southampton to Jersey in for a holiday in 1969!
