The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good and with a variety of options. The staff was really nice and helpful. They have a restaurant serving pizza and other fast food until late, and a pub with a pool table where you can enjoy a beer and that is open until late (but it is not noisy from the rooms).

The big advantage of this hotel is the value for money, especially in Scotland, where accommodation tends to be very expensive. It is also very handy if you are coming by car, as you don't need to enter the city centre and they have parking available.

Excellent staff service, though they seemed rushed through lack of staff. Chicken Burger, pizza, and most fast food chicken meals. Nice and clean rooms, although mine had a blocked shower outlet.

Staff go above and beyond to give you the best stay experience. Breakfast was fantastic. Great pub food for dinner. Beds comfy. We had a great night’s sleep.

We stayed there for a night and we were unhappy! At first they gave us a horrible room, dirty, with old furniture and at the ground level. We asked to change rooms and they gave us a better room thankfully. In that room though we found a used cigarette in the bathroom. At the breakfast, the coffee machine was hardly working and they didn't let me have breakfast earlier, although I had a meeting in 10 minutes, resulting in having a few bites and then run back to the our room to do the meeting. I don't recommend this place.

The Lovat is fantastic for what it is - good location, cheep and cheerful and good breakfast. Huge shout out to Jimmy who really turned it from a 3 to a 4 star review - super friendly and an asset to your hotel. Room was slightly outdated - I would say there is a real need to sort the shower situation out as all 3 of my colleagues had rooms with showers that were difficult to use, broken in one way or another and hard to maintain a consistent temperature.

Despite some reservations about staying at this hotel I have been pleasantly surprised.I have a nice room 218 comfortable bed etc..Tea/coffee making facily in room .The hot water takes a while to run through but all in all its very nice.Breakfast was fine though they need to invest in decent toasters as the ones they are really very slow... Would I stay again absolutely..

Very basic rooms mattress not very comfortable, service was pretty poor not interested. The restaurant was an American diner the girl who served is was from Sri Lanka she very friendly and told us a little of her country. To be honest I would have gave 2 stars but the girl who served us was the best thing about this hotel .

Sarah and Kayleigh…. Thank you for the most wonderful experience I have ever had while staying in an hotel. The Lovat hotel gives you value for your money in a very good location and easy access to various places. The staff are just efficient and very friendly….at some point I was beginning to think they are mistaken me for a celebrity ???? but that’s just how they are. Well done ???? and never change. Can’t wait to be back????
