Proper lovely little local pub. Great beer especially carlsberg! Staff always super friendly and nice. Dog friendly too so always excellent doggos in.

Great little pub.
Friendly staff and customers.
Excellent pool table and top players use this venue. Excellent jukebox and regular live music artists in back room.
Good beers and nice beer garden.
Hope to return again soon.

A fabulous traditional multi-room pub serving quality hand-pulled real ale. Friendly staff an absolute gem. If you want a good pint of beer in a proper traditional pub rather than some place pretending to be a Michelin-starred restaurant then this is the place for you.

Love this place, been drinking here for about 30 years. A great atmosphere and client's, fabulous beers, very well kept. Staff are brilliant, it's the number one pub in Hull..

Visited st John's last week, what a lovely friendly pub!!! Made to feel so welcome and the beer is spot on. We'll definitely be visiting this pub again very soon. Well done st John's!!!

Been coming to this pub for years! Great atmosphere, the beers are always kept to perfection, pool, music. This place takes some beating!!

Been going in st John's down queens rd for a long time .it does real ales festival on real ale coming up soon excited so friendly staff and the atmosphere is fantastic
