Extremely Disappointed - Unfortunate Experience at Grand Cosmopolitan Hotel, Dubai

As an unsatisfied customer, I feel compelled to share my experience at the Grand Cosmopolitan Hotel in Dubai. Unfortunately, I must say that it was the worst service I have ever encountered in a purported 5-star hotel.

My disappointment began right from the moment I arrived, as the agents at the front desk did not welcome me warmly. Instead, I sensed a clear discrimination based on nationality, which is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone a reputed hotel.

I encountered rude and dismissive behavior from the hotel staff. They seemed to ignore guests' needs and displayed arrogant personalities, making me feel undervalued as a guest.

The overall experience was far from the level of hospitality one would expect from a 5-star hotel. I had hoped for a luxurious and accommodating stay, but instead, I was met with disappointment and frustration.

It is my hope that management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues at hand promptly. Proper training and sensitivity towards guests from all backgrounds should be a priority. The Grand Cosmopolitan Hotel needs to uphold the standards expected from a 5-star establishment.

I regret to say that I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and welcoming experience in Dubai. I hope my review serves as a constructive critique and encourages the necessary improvements for future guests.

A very clean hotel with wonderful staff. Location is great , very easy access to any part of the city . Everyone was really friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Mr Mohamed who welcomed us at the gate with a warm smile almost every day during our stay .

A really good hotel with outstanding soft skills

We have been the first, but certainly not the last time in this hotel.
This hotel really offers outstanding value for money and would be able to charge significantly higher prices if it would be at a different location. But I wouldn’t label it as a „real“ 5* hotel.
The rooms are larger than average and the pool area is big enough to relax, sunbathe and cool off. You can also order food, mocktails and snacks by the pool and enjoy the air-conditioned lounge.

Outstanding soft skills include:
- Very friendly and attentive staff
- Staff, which opens the door when you enter and leave the hotel and greets you in a friendly manner
- A outstanding housekeeping service that manages to clean the entire bathroom spotlessly without any water/limescale stains
- A really good breakfast buffet until 12 o'clock!!!
- A standard checkout time of 12pm, which can be extended to 2pm free of charge upon request (subject to availability).

The location is excellent for a shopping weekend in Dubai. Within walking distance to the Emirates Mall (approx 10-15 Minutes) in less than four minutes to the metro to the Dubai Mall or the Palm.
There are also supermarkets and numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

However, the location is the only really negative point of the hotel. Not really nice, a bit noisy and lying by the pool constantly street noise in the background.
The windows of the rooms facing east crack constantly because they are heated up by the sun in the morning and cool down in the evening. But that only bothers you if you're a very light sleeper or if you're sensitive to such background noise.

Wonderful stay for a weekend getaway. Hotel is on about two years old so everything seems fairly new with a lot of amenities in the upper floor: rooftop swimming pool, spa, gym, gaming room, etc. Lobby is very spacious and wonderful. Breakfast was really good with a variety of options. Ali at the front desk was amazing and very accommodating. Can't wait to bring back my family.

Love this hotel as well as provided service. Spacious room, modern design and technology. Karina at the front counter was so hospitable and accommodating.
Their restaurant “Gardenia” has the best chef who cooked a yummy food . We were enjoying every piece we put on our plates and the variety of it. Very friendly and professional staff. 5 stars for sure. Great job! Thank you!!!

This hotel is amazing, the location is great and clean. The staff is friendly and professional and very accommodating. The rooms were perfect for my group. The pool was clean and the views were amazing. The options for breakfast are good and there's something to eat for everyone. The detox carrot was so fresh and tasted amazing.
I'll definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai.

Wow. The service from the airport to the hotel was just unbelievable. The food was excellent. The rooms were amazing. The pool view was stunning. You just can't ask for more. Best hotel ever ????. Really recommend staying there!
