Beautiful castle, very rich with history and original stuffs. I very liked to walk around in rooms and check every small pieces from the walls, ceiling, some furniture and e.t.c. Some historic stuff i saw first time and i was excited. Garden is so amazing!!! Rose garden should need to visit some couple weeks later, because in Jun start all roses just get ready her buds.
In Google was wrote then ticket is £10, bet actually if you buy castle + garden that is £20 each.
I definitely recommend this castle!!!! ????????

I booked tickets for my family of 4, and what a great price for everything you get to see! There is parking at the bottom of the castle hill which has charges however there is free parking directly outside the castle if you have a Blue Badge, as it's quite a steep path to walk up and down. The staff at the visitor centre at the entrance were very helpful, and will direct you to disabled parking if need be. You can purchase a guide book for £5, but we decided to go rogue! The castle was insanely immaculate, but I think that's due to the Belvoir family still living there. The history is fantastic, and the guides were very informative and helpful. The gardens were well kept. I had paid for tickets for the playground which was near the entrance, which was all modern equipment and made out of wood. There is toddler age appropriate equipment, but I would recommend keeping an eye on at all times. Great fun playing and had a zip wire too. The cafe was very overpriced, and the jacket potatoes weren't fresh, so it's okay for a coffee, but eat before hand or bring a picnic. That would be the only disadvantage.

Attended the flower show held on site. The castel grounds and gardens are very nice and the walks through the estate was pleasant. The approach road to the exhibition site needs to be fixed. But otherwise, a great venue for events and functions.

An excellent castle and grounds to visit! Great for a walk around the gardens and admire the beautiful flowing plants and not to forget the amazing children's play area which provides hours (literally) of fun for all ages! Well worth a visit and will need to l go again to see the bits we couldn't get to in one day!

The castle is amazing. There are many halls. Showing the environment in which people lived. Many paintings. The gardens are huge. We didn't have enough time to look around and walk around the entire territory of the gardens. Awesome place. There is an option to stop by the castle for people with reduced mobility. a great place for recreation and relaxation.

It's an amazing place. There's a huge playground for kids at the entrance, then a lovely garden, and the castle inside feels like going back in time. You can walk hours around the estate. There is a lovely lake as well. The spring garden offers camelias, magnolias, and David Austen's roses ???? will bloom in June!
The car park is extra charge. :(

Wonderful visit. The views, from the grounds are spectacular. The gardens were in bloom and very nice. The castle is wonderful with art and the lifestyle of the wealthy.

Lovely venue to take a gentle wander around. On the positive aswell - we were advised it's a steep imb to the castle from the entrance (20min walk). So we paced ourselves to get there, but actually got to the top in under 5mins, so don't be put off. Some nice garden areas whilst others seem to need a bit of attention - the Japanese garden seemed a bit overgrown & not overly Japanesey.
