Features painted and carved stones, amazing view from the top. They offer meditation and art classes too.

The vibe is already inviting considering they’re still working on the making the site more beautiful.

Really loved it here. We are visiting for the week and just wanted a nice free dog walk which wouldn’t be overpopulated on a weekend. We got exactly that, but it surpassed our expectations. Such a beautiful area, would highly recommend this this lovely little circular walk. Perfect length for our elderly dog too.

Lovely picturesque walks through reclaimed coal mining land. Paths look suitable for mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs and cycles. My dogs loved it.

Being disabled I loved going around the pit on my mobility scooter, but now I have a newer one it won't fit through the " gates" so now I can't go round it, I am really disappointed with this as it is a beautiful place to go and unwind and being "house bound" most of the time it was somewhere for me to go to be amongst nature...

Even after all the rain over the last few weeks, the paths are reasonably clean. As in not many puddles or huge muddy patches. Whether you want to walk for 10 minutes, or much longer, there's something for everyone.

Lucky to have this space in our local area. Nice walk/run to top of the pit tip hill were there is a great view. There are various looped routes you can take, either up the hill or around the lake. The new orienteering course was fun with the kids. The local Woodland Trust run bat watching evenings here which are really interesting. Down side is often dog walkers bag their dog poo, but then throw the bags rather than put in bins, but saying that sometimes the bins are overflowing which doesn't help.

It's a nice walk spoiled by people not picking up after thier dog mess
