Been ordering from here quite often now. I go for the rice dishes.

Till now I've ordered, chicken fried rice, egg fried rice, mixed fried rice, beef chilli fried rice and the chicken sauce and rice.

It's real good value for money because you get a lot of food for the money. The taste is good too!

I usually order for work and have enough to take it back home! Great value for money!

I have had Chinese food all over the world and by far this is one of the worst
Family was really in the mood for Chinese food but the minute we started we all agreed that this is unsuccessful imitation
We had 3 different appetizers and three different main course dishes and all were ????
I am not sure but who ever is cooking the food is far from expert on Chinese food and had all different spices from other ethnic food and a lot of oil or ghee which Is never used in Chinese food
Cheap quality meat in the beef and broccoli and small pieces of frozen chicken in the sweet and sour

The hangchan in JLT don't have their own dedicated space. Initially we search for the restaurant and upon calling them we found , they have a sharing space with another restaurant called #dumpukth. After that we noticed on the window hengchan is written very small. There are few items which they are not serving such as family soup ???? ball, instead they serve medium soup. we were not comfortable with the environment because it does not represent the Chinese food restaurant.

This place offers all you can eat lunch buffet for 44. The offer indianise Chinese and the food is fine. Its a nice place to go once in a while.
Apart from the buffet, I find the menu slightly expensive. Overall its a good place.

Review
We were invited to Hengchen by their very efficient owners and chefs for a tasting specifically because we had a not-so-good experience with their branch in DIP months before. It was very sweet of them to bother and ask us to give them a second chance. Gladly, we made our way to the JLT branch where we were joined by the Owner Numan, casually checking up on us throughout our dinner and the chef in the end who was so open to new ideas and tips that we gave to him!

Verdict
Hengchen for us was about a few hits and a few misses. From what we ate the last time and from what we gauged, their seafood is commendable and so is the vegetarian food, Just the cooking of the chicken needs to be taken care of and they will have themselves an amazing indo-chinese restaurant. The staff was excellent and super helpful so kudos on that..

Visited the branch. Array of menu was great. Please avoid the hard noodle though. Place, food, staff & presentation overview is splendid

Placed an order at 7:15, its 8:45 order has still not reached. When called and inquired i was told its weekend and they cant tell me when food will arrive.
