Broadland MGOC members visited museum this evening everyone thoroughly enjoyed their tour with a guide who had a wealth of knowledge.
We opted to include a BBQ during our visit which was excellent and well presented tea served in China cup's not your everyday plastic or cardboard.

Will return with my grandchildren during school holidays Thursday and Friday's see more on website.

Really interest hidden gem! Well worth finding, and don't forget the iconic white windmill at Thurne, 2 miles up the riverbank.

Debbie,our tour guide is a fountain of knowledge in her field,who really knows her onions! Secluded & in a peaceful, relaxing location, it really is well worth a look.

We popped into Thurne windpump on the way & was delighted to make acquaintance with John,the windpump tour guide,a real Norfolk character who can regail you with tales of old! An informative & interesting day in a great county!

Quirky, mainly outdoor museum comprising a variety of wind energy exhibits run by a team of commited, enthusiastic volunteers. History of this place is what makes it special though - built on the passion of one man for all things windmills. Tea room and indoor exhibition also available. Worth a visit.

This is a lovely, informative, voluntary run museum, hosting a great collection of wind turbines/pumps, that could do with more people knowing about it! We were met by a very enthusiastic volunteer, who guided us round. It's a little off the beaten track, although the signs led us straight there. £5 for adults, £3.50 for children. You can walk to Thurne Mill from the wind museum, making for a lovely day. They allow dogs in too, as most of it is outside, and a comfy hut/conservatory is a great place to eat one of the cakes or partake in afternoon tea and scones!

This small museum dedicated to maintaining the work and passion of one fascinating engineer has a great charm about it and a lot to offer. We had a real personal touch from the experience and were lucky enough to also visit Thurne Windpump, run by the same volunteers on the day. Please do give it your patronage!

Excellent museum consisting of numerous vintage wind pumps, most of which are in working order as demonstrated during the tour of the museum. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Small collection of windmills, and an excellent tour guide Debra. Finish off with a lovely cup of tea and a slice of home made cake.
