We stayed one night on this site and found everything to be exactly as described and very neat and quiet. Well located to walks in Sheringham Park where the plentiful signs to request dog owners keep their dogs on leads seemed to be understood and adhered to.

What spoilt the site for me was the lack of similarly clear signage. This really would be a sensible idea for the owners of the site to ensure that all guests are made very aware of the need to keep their dogs under control, collared and tagged. The latter is a legal requirement and the former is required to avoid off lead dogs doing as they please. In our case it was running over to our reactive and harnessed dog, clearly out of the owner's control. Our dog is reactive and fear aggressive and we deliberately keep her out of the way of other dogs. We could see that an uncollared black Labrador was running loose on the site so made efforts to keep out of the way. Because of the owners lack of control and lack of a collar on the dog, there was very nearly a face to face aggressive incident with the dogs which could have let to damage to either or both dogs and vets bills on a Bank Holiday weekend. I had to physically handle the out of control dog who was very determined to get to our dog. I should not have had to do that but wanted to protect it and my own dog from harm. Without it having a collar it was difficult to get any control over the dog. Very clear requests to site users to ask them to ensure their dogs are properly under control and with a collar and tag would be appreciated and prevent this stressful situation happening again.

Great find, lovely spot away from it all, little village complete with charming old pub serving food, near to coast, can recommend to caravanners looking to get away from those big sites
