Hey Guys,
This place is "Very neat, private and comfortable to stay". Worth for money both for daily-basis and monthly-basis stay, whichever you may choose. I stayed for 4-5 nights and it's worth it. Below are some quick info that may help you to get some idea and to choose this place if that suits you. For me it suited well, for the below reasons:
(1) Location: It is located in Hor Al Anz-Diera, between United Hyper Market and 1 to 15 Market. It is in the "Dar-Al-Aman" Building on 38A St as you see in the map and street view. It is perfectly placed in the middle -between metro (Abubakker Siddique Metro-3 mins walk) at one side and bus lane road (Abubakker Siddique Road-Towards Muteena -2 mins walk) on the other side, both are very much in a walkable distance.
(2) Room (Bed Space Cabins): Only sharing room with bunk beds e.g 6 bunks beds in a room. But you have your own private closed cabin which is amazing (half wooden covered with other half foldable blinds. And this is one of the most important reason i liked it for the sake of privacy (Because, most of the bed spaces in Dubai are open/uncovered). Private closed cabin includes mattresses, pillow, blanket, fan, study lamp, plug socket, inbuilt desk, phone stand and cloth hangers (all inside in each private cabin). Seperate locker with separate key where you can keep your valuables (locker is placed inside the room). Beneath the bunk bed there is enough space to keep big travel suitcases/ travel bags (in terms of width, breadth and height).
(3) Price: As of March 2023, the price for one person/one bed space per night is AED 70 and, if you stay more than 3 nights, the price will be AED 60 (from the first day of your stay itself). You can pay by cash or card (i don't think there is an online booking and payment available, other than the contact number of the manager. I booked through my cousin and in person). For monthly rate, i guess it is around AED 600/650 for lower bed and AED 550/600 for upper bed. However no clear idea since i did not stay on monthly-basis. Cross check with the manager. Check-in time is 10am i guess (i am not sure though), where as check-out time is 1pm. Nevertheless, the manager is friendly enough to recieve you based on your travel plan and adjust the check-in time accordingly.
(4) Other facilities: Common Area (Small, yet neat and carpeted floor with working space to keep your laptop with plug sockets, Television, Shoe rack), Kitchen (with microwave, refrigerator, rice cooker, basic utensils etc), Toilet (is neat and clean), washing (washing machine is available and clothes can be dried through window open outdoor hanger), Centralised AC, good connectivity Wifi, Cold and hot drinking water dispenser (but have to have your own bottle to fill it up), Door entrance (Digital smart key).
(5) Restaurants Nearby: Many restaurants are near by (All are within 2-3mins walk away) e.g. Curry Expres- (Tamil/Indian), Nayaab (Hyderabadi/Indian), Baba Chai, Classmate (Kerala/Indian), and other cuisine restaurants (like Chinese/Pakistanis restaurants) are also nearby.
(6) Shopping: United Hyper market and 1 to 15 Market (1 min walk) are super close to this location.
(7) Staff: Very friendly, mannered and helpful (One manager and he is very well mannered and cool, and one Assistant - no complaints though).
(8) Drawback: Only one toilet for men (roughly 10-12 bed space cabins for men). But, if you are smart enough to plan ur time for rest room usage especially in the morning/getting ready to work, this challenge can be managed. Room for women is seperate and with separate toilet.
On the whole, as a backpacker and global traveller, I liked it and will definitely prefer to stay again when i visit again and ofcourse recommend others to have a try.
Happy stay at Homelink Hostel, guys.
All the best.
