I’m always skeptical when it comes to Italian cuisine in Dubai, but luckily my friends and I decided to check out Il Borro as we heard a lot of good things.

The location is nice and the ambience is great. We got a nice table in the centre of the restaurant with a view of the open kitchen. With the addition of the bread basket and the wine. Lovely start.

The menu has a nice focus on seafood and Italian staples. We decided to share everything so we begin with the starters:
We went with grilled octopus that went great with the mixed rocket and spinach salad. Both tasted nice. The burrata was creamy and light and yummy too.

Onto the mains, our server Leigh (I hope I pronounced your name right), guided us through the menu and with their help, we decided to skip the pizza and taste other stuff and I’m glad we did.
We started with Chianti braised beef cheek with mashed potatoes, and that cheek was so tender that it melts in your mouth. Then we had the grilled dover sole, which was great for sharing, and with the accompanied lemon butter sauce, it was very nicely cooked. Third main was the Maltagiati pasta with prawns and tomato sauce and chili, and it was a monster of a dish that was enough for everyone. This pasta dish was divine. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the prawns were cooked so well. Perfection!

I was surprised that my friends still had room for dessert, so we got the tiramisu that was so light and delicious, and the chocolate fondant with ice cream that was finished in seconds.

Everything we ordered was so tasty, and I was impressed with the staff being nice and the food quality being top notch.

One thing to note is that this place is pricey so be prepared to spend good money that is hopefully worth the occasion.

Very good venue, great service. We tried carpaccio, pasta with truffle and pizza. Lastly we ordered Bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine steak) medium rare, was prepared perfectly. I recommend if you would like to have some Italian vibes and food in Dubai. I strongly recommend you to try their own selection of wines from the menu.

Great place w attentive service and delicious authentic Italian food ( not too creative, for that maybe Pierchic is a better choice). The only dish we were a bit disappointed was the shrimp in garlic and rosemary, a bit too well done.

I am grateful to the staff who always welcome me with a lovely smile. I am impressed with the attitude of being proud of the food and ingredients, and above all, the pride. Especially, Mr. Aptra's presentation is smart and wonderful. The staff are taught the heart of the restaurant around him, and it is also impressive to see them united. This is a recommended restaurant where you can experience one of the popular secrets.

I and my husband had a very important event here.???? We were warmly welcomed by them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.????????????????

The best authentic Italian in Dubai! The restaurant has a nice vibe and is always packed so best to book a table. The food is exceptional, you can never go wrong with the grilled octopus and truffle pasta. Service is amazing! Abdullah and his team are very accommodating.

Location is superb, all restaurants in Al Naseem hotel are located in a beautiful garden with an artificial lagoon. Il Borro service is nice, staff is friendly and they try to accommodate in most of cases. Food is good, products are fresh and genuine, nothing to say about it BUT it lacks some personality when comparing to international standards especially for this category of hotel.

Good place for Italian food, their service was great and the staff are very friendly and professional. the atmosphere was okay, They kept repeating the same song in different beats ( Billa tshao ) which was annoying. The dishes were okay nothing was super delicious but the duck pasta was different.

The place is super nice. Food is really good. Staff are friendly polite and respectful. It’s one of my favourite places in Dubai.
The only thing I don’t like about the place that you can see the kitchen and the chef and co chefs are not wearing any gloves. Even the pizza guy. They touch the food. I hope in the future the management should change this. But I really really recommend the place and don’t forget to try the terramissu and the cheese cake.
