Excellent spot for camping. This mountain has several huts (7+) which can be used for barbecue, camping and relaxing. There is parking available on the rocky entrance for about 5 cars.

Each hut has a mini boundary around it, has tube lights for the night and standard 3-pin electricity sockets. The flooring is done with raw concrete (hard to put the hooks for the camp). Each hut has its own waste bin which is cleaned out regularly.

Police station is just next to this mountain and you can see them patrolling the area 24x7. Felt safe there with my family and we stayed overnight. I stopped and asked about staying overnight from the police and they assured me it was safe. There were 2 other groups staying overnight as well, so it wasn’t that lonely albeit quiet enough to relax.

The few downsides (manageable) are that you would need to carry your stuff all the way up, which is a bit of a workout. Also there is no facility for toilet, the nearest toilet is 2 minutes drive away to a Mosque. This could be an issue if you camp overnight with kids. I saw others not bothering and climbing to the very top of this mountain to do number 1 and even number 2.

Beware of your belongings that you leave outside overnight, one of our items was stolen.

There is a nearby market, 2 minutes drive away or 5 minutes walking. It has 2 grocery stores, a cafeteria, a burger place, barber, laundry and a bakery having fresh breads.

There is a much larger commercial area with all kinds of shops and business 10 minutes drive away.

If you want to avoid climbing and hauling your stuff, search for nearby places where municipality has provided several similar huts in the ground level. You can find it on google maps.

Photos show a grocery nearby, but it was closed.

Amazing place and save place I enjoy a lot I make special birthday party ???? very silent and nice area you can enjoy all night Is near union cope there is near Park also. There is restaurants. I will come again

Provides you amazing view of Hatta mountains and plantation, and far off view of Oman border
