Very unique place! Lovely atmosphere. I visited around 8am (avoiding the guidance that a National Trust landmark has an opening time of 9:30am? Haha) it was lovely. Car park at the base of the walk, heading up the track road to the gate which states St Cuthberts Cave 1/4 mile. Beautiful views of the Cheviot hills from there, surrounded by bright yellow Gorse scented like honey. A short walk along between the pines and out emerges the Stone structure in the landscape. Such a serene place. Seen a common chaffinch along with quite a few swallows here for the season so a lovely time of year to visit. Can't wait to come back.

An intriguing place - the cave doesn't extend back far, but the rock pillars are quite impressive. Some striking patterns in the rock in places, and excellent views over the Cheviot hills. Lots of colourful Fireweed growing nearby when I visited in late July. The setting in the pine plantation gives the cave a more secluded, mysterious atmosphere. Saw some hares in the surrounding fields. Used in filming for Vera S6 E2 "Tuesday's Child".

This is a beautiful little find, and is a family friendly sight it's a short walk from the carpark at the bottom (about quarter to half a mile walk) and is a nice little adventure through a slight woodland area (we did this with a 7&3 year old) a definite must see * please follow sight rules when attending for safety*

A short wander up the lovely hedgerowed track and along through the woods, brings you to an opening where the caves are. Behind the caves and over the Wall is a fantastic view of the coast. A beautiful place well Wöreth a visit

Shortish walk to it uphill gets a bit steep for those with problem knees but once you start across the hill to the trees it's plane sailing. Shame storm Arwen hit last November but still well worth a look.

Beautiful views in an extremely picturesque countryside.

Arrived at 0945 midweek 9n a stunning day. Parked in small car park and walked up.

A beautiful natural historic feature. Only a quarter of a mile walk from The National Trust car park and there is also a 7 mile circular walk with only moderate climbs that takes in some breath taking scenery. Well worth a visit.

Lovely little walk up to the cave then up.to the rocks on the hill, there is a bigger walk to do we ran out of time today so will have to go back. Car park is just small but free. Beautiful views of rolling hills on one side and the sea on the other.
