High quality nuts . Stuffed dates were too delicious and fresh . Almond dark chocolate was delicious and crunchy . Peanut butter was too fresh & yumm , my daughter is in love with it

Has to be one of the strangest places to find a castle, what a little gem. Free to vist, in the middle of a woodland surrounded by rivers. No parking apart from a little layby and it's a good 15 minute downhill walk to the castle.

Really interesting castle. Not huge but good ruins to explore and you can still climb up the remaining tower. The location is what makes it particularly interesting, as it is nestled in a wooded valley rather than perched on the high ground or by the head of a valley or river. Very nice to walk around the surrounding woodland. Can park on the road and just cut across the field to reach it. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Did not stay very long as on a tight schedule. I cycled up to the castle from the cafe/visitors centre, culminating at the castle. The route took you up through a wooded valley, which is pretty and would have taken in better if walking.

The woodland park and Ewloe Castle make a brilliant free day out in the country, with the added bonus of some Welsh history. We went on a soggy day when proper walking boots should have been worn.... the mud was slippy, deep and squelchy. Includes a children's playground, picnic area, cafe and toilet facilities. For free, well worth 5 stars!

Great place for all ages. Thry have a cafe, toilets, playground, skate park, football pitches, pond, streams, bridges, walkways, fields, and a castle... I'm sure I've missed something out.

There isn't loads there but enough to appreciate history. Nice to walk from Wepre park, up through the woodlands rather than parking at the top roadside.

My partner and i enjoyed the walk and the views. Just don't be like us and go the wrong way and have to walk up the roads ????
