We walked down the long path towards the lighthouse. You get a great view of the river and there's a path along the river to walk as well. Great for peace and quiet or birdwatching. The lighthouse is a private house so you can't go in. Lovely walk on a sunny day. You can't park near the gate to the path, but there's on the road parking further up by the houses.

A beautiful spot on the banks of the Mersey. The lighthouse was built to replace an earlier structure in 1906. It marks a particularly hazardous spot on the river. It was decommissioned in 1958 since river traffic had declined and shifted to the canal on the opposite bank. A private house now stands at the base of the lighthouse.

More of a landmark sign post than a real place of interest. You can't access it and there's nothing to do with it. It's only good for looking at it for a few seconds and then turning back round.

Some great views around the lighthouse. Nice little walk for adults and children.
