The city hotel is a traditional pub in a stunning building, the interior is mostly original and unspoiled. A wide choice of beers, lager and cider, sadly no cask conditioned real ales. Traditional bar games darts and Pool. Nice friendly staff, very busy at the weekends.

More people in ! But saying that every pub is feeling the pinch with this cost of living !

Had a good time.
Toilets a bit of a tight squeeze, even for someone on the skinny side, I'm sure they've been changed in some way.
Mike was as brilliant as ever!!!

Good atmosphere. Excellent service. TV screens showing sport. Seems like a very local pub and we did get stared at by a few when we walked in. Despite that we had a good time and would go back.

Went in last Saturday and it was quite busy, but that wasn't a problem as there was plenty of staff working. Prices are very good,the choice of beers are excellent and nice surroundings and very helpful staff. Certainly a place to visit again and again. See you soon

Fantastic atmosphere with great staff and music very clean venue and good prices on drinks, taxi rank outside great for afternoon and nights

It's such a great, friendly atmosphere. The staff were very helpful. I would recommend visiting this pub if you are in the old town
