We as a family could not recommend Tippethill highly enough for their standard of care and compassion! We had a family member in the Baillie wing of the hospital and the care he received was second to none, they ensured he was well fed, making him whatever he wanted when he wanted it. They kept everyone well informed of his health and plans for treatment etc. The ensuite room he had was immaculate and was regularly deep cleaned. The girls were so invested in his wellbeing and were often found chatting to him and exchanging jokes to keep him company! Not only did they care so much about him, they cared about all of us as a family, even attending his funeral, which was very touching to all of us ♥️ we can remember a great man in peace knowing he lived the end of his life to the fullest of his ability in a place where he was cared so well for as he couldn't be at home and for that we are eternally grateful to you all ♥️

No words can express the gratitude and appreciation , my family and I feel. For the professional , dedicated ,caring and loving way all the staff treated my husband during the last 3 months of his life. He was so well looked after., however it didn't end there the kindness and care shown to myself and my family was a wonderful comfort at such a difficult time of our lives, THANK YOU isn't enough ,

I'm not sure what people's expectations are of a palliative nursing home but I can honestly say that my Mum and all our family have nothing but good positive feedback for Tippethill. The staff were all friendly and nothing was ever a bother for them. They treated her with kindness and consideration. Their facility is clean, fresh smelling and bright. We would like to say a big thank you to all who helped look after Mum.

I've been in Tippethill, the Baillie wing for just over a week now. At first, coming from St John's hospital, I was more than a little bit nervous. As I will be here until my time is up.
I need not have worried, i could not have asked for or expected the level of caring staff they have here.
They are a busy medical wing, but still manage to take the time to talk to me, make sure that I am OK, not just saying that I'm OK. The food, I get a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are plenty snacks avaliable throughout the day and night. Cold drinks avaliable all the time as well. But its the staff for me. So many nice dedicated people working in the one area. I dont know how they have managed to gather so many great staff here, but I hope they can keep this team here, together, for a very long time to come.

My mum spent her last months in the Baillie wing. I could never thank the staff enough at how well they looked after her, they treated her with compassion and dignity.
All the staff from nurses and nursing assistants are fantastic. They had a very personal touch not only with my mum but with me, it was a very difficult time for me and they were so supportive, they helped me thru my darkest time and I will always be grateful.
When my mum passed away they continued to be supportive to me and my family, a few off the nurses even came to my mums funeral which was a very thoughtful thing for them to do considering how busy they all are.
Keep up the great work, you all do an amazing job, you are all a credit to the NHS.
Marie, Rona, Jo, Hazel, Fran and the rest off the team at Baillie I will be forever grateful as to how you all looked after my mum.

I just want to thank all the staff at tippet hill for the all the care and attention that was given to my mum Jean , she was in tippithill for 3 years she was so well looked after, the staff are absolutely wonderful, they have worked all through the pandemic.Every time I visited I was welcomed with a smile. My mum has moved to a nursing home but as a family we feel the care she has received is down to the staff. Marie, jo, Angela,Hazel, Marissa,Ellie, Rona,Brenda there is so many more but from the bottom of my heart Thankyou x

This hospice/hospital is horrible. While a close family member was in here for their final days I witnessed buzzers getting ignored. My mum helped a poor woman who was screaming for help while the nurses were only 3-4 metres away from here.

During the night we stayed to comfort my dying my family member and we were made to feel like we were intruders and we shouldn't have been there. It is a horrible horrible place.

A formal complaint will also be made to the NHS in relation to the way this place is run. Do NOT under any circumstances put your family members in this place. They are safer were they are!

I did a placement here as a student nurse. The care is...well, shocking. Ignoring buzzers, telling patients to urinate on their pad instead of assisting them to the toilet. Staff uncaring, nursing staff told me to "suck it up" if I tried to report anything. Honestly, if any of my relatives were placed here...I would take them out asap. When the charge nurse isn't there, all the staff have their break at once in the dining area and ignore the buzzers. Some serious training is needed for the staff here.
