One of my favourite local courses and arguably one of the best. It plays better in winter than most given the sandy sub soil. It’s an inland links and when the wind is up it can really feel like a true links. Condition is always outstanding and greens as good as it gets. The practice facilities are great and right in the door step of the club house which is also great.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Have played at a number of local premium courses over the last few weeks but this is a true gem. Played here yesterday as Batchworth and Moor Park closed due to rain. Well done to the team at Sandy, the course is in pristine condition. The clubhouse is also extremely inviting and the staff are well trained.

Fantastic course, condition was great for this time of year... Practice facilities were very good, and friendly members. Would really consider joining here.

Nice course, lovely greens with subtle slopes, Lots of bunkers but most are well maintained. Fairways dry and bare following the hot Summer and there is work being done ( drainage channels) on some. Lots of ' blind tee shots and some approach shots, worth getting a course guide if its the first time you have played the course

Nice course with a variety of easy & difficult holes. Fairways were patchy in places, but they're carrying out some improvement work, so obviously not a permanent issue. Would definitely go again.

We’d travelled to the UK for a golfing holiday and Sandy Lodge was our last stop of a very busy few weeks. Unfortunately we played while the course was getting some major renovations done but that didn’t hinder our time there. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly(definitely the most friendly of the 12 courses we played) and it was an absolute pleasure to play. Special thanks to Sandy who provided amazing service in the bar all day and helped me with my bee sting.

Course not in great condition currently, resembles that of haste hill with the building works going on at the moment. £50 for a round is incredibly steep considering temp greens and holes closed. The work they have done on the 5th and 6th is absurd.
