Lovely walk around Lovers Lane, we were doing a geocache (the Adventure Lab) and it took us all the way around the hills and the Derwent Gardens

What a lovely place. There is something for all ages. The peaks are just something to behold. Matlock, Matlock Bath very quaint. If you're a biker or not it's a lovely place, fish n chip heaven, or sit for a cup of coffee or drink of your choice and enjoy the glorious surroundings, bikers of some fantastic motorbikes are only too pleased to chat about their prize possessions. Brilliant. Carpark plenty of room but Matlock gets very busy. October switching of the lights and the river looks wonderful, great whatever time of year????????

Incredibly scenic and enjoyable walk, a whole host of activities available from boat rowing to the heights of Abraham. Many shops and cafe's providing refreshment and quality food. Would recommend for someone wanting to explore nature but not be overwhelmed by a challenging hike.

Came to Matlock Bath for a look around. The lovers walks start at the main carpark and are well worth the effort. The walk I did takes you up above Matlock Bath where you have beautiful views all around as well as down. There are some very steep steps so not suitable for those with less than full mobility.

Lovely little garden to walk through.

Lots to see and do in a short space. The main walk is very pushchair/wheelchair friendly.

There is a fenced off park just after the jubilee bridge, and lots of seating places along the way.

There are steps off the main path, up to the walls and giddy heights and views over Matlock bath.

Plenty of tree climbing areas, seating all around the park, views up and down the Derwent.

Solar powered pedalo(?) and row boats to hire, another smaller park as you head over the second bridge, and some beautifully maintained gardens and ponds, full of frogs and frog spawned, we’ve even seen newts in there a few years back. Lots of wildlife to bee seen and areas to reflect of life and photo opportunities!

It’s a relatively small park with a lot packed in!

Some lovely views, lovely walk.. really nice place for a romantic walk with your partner, a very historical place. The canal was so nice to walk down ☺️ would take the dog there again ????

Starting from the bridge at the back of Matlock Pavillion.
A beautiful walk on the quieter side of the river Derwent at Matlock Bath,along here is all about nature and a relaxing walk away from the razmataz of the other bank.
As you near the bridge back to the other side there a children's play area.
Toilets are to the right as you step off the bridge just next to the Midland Hotel.
