Underwhelmed! This is our third visit. We visited again on Sunday 16 July for breakfast and was not impressed. Full English was poor (and expensive) compared to other local cafe restaurants but the egg florentine with haddock was excellent. Quarterdeck should offer a large or small/medium full English. The portion size was just too large so theyneed to adjust. The bacon was nice and crisp but the Papworth sausages were anemic looking and solid hard instead of being plump and moist. The mushrooms were cooked in garlic - which tainted the rest of the food. Although they looked undercooked, the sausages weren't, but just didn't look appetising or taste good and didn't do justice to the local butcher supplier. Service was provided by two men and was very poor and disjointed with a clear communication problem between them. It took ages to get our bill (the Kenny Everett (no offence intended) looking host forgot our request) and they also weren't able to take payment at the table. Payment could not be divided up equally between our group and instead, had to be billed on a per item basis. The whole place needs to step up their act. Our first visit in 2022 just after they opened was superb for food and service but on a second visit we asked for a baby highchair and they had none (so are missing out on a key segment of the market). Their attitude then was, take it or leave it, we don't have highchairs and can't provide a service to you, so we left and they lost custom. The Quarterdeck doesn't do justice to our favourite local bar next door (The Gangway) which also owns it. They have to improve their offering and raise their customer service.

Found this place by accident after arriving in Sheringham by steam train from Holt! The menu looked really interesting so after a couple of hours walking around we decided to give it a go. Staff were very welcoming and very helpful in dealing with my wife's foods intolerances. She had avocado on toasted ciabatta with chorizo and grilled tomato and I had the fish finger bap and chips. Both meals were freshly prepared with the best ingredients and absolutely delicious. I had a pint of Ampersand brewery IPA which was one of the best bets I've ever tasted. All in all we were very happy with our meal and left very satisfied. Highly recommended.

Popped into The Quarter Deck out of curiosity with my wife and I'm glad we did, as it did not disappoint.

On entering we were warmly greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our table. They allowed us time to view the menu which had some really good food options available.

After about 10 mins we gave our order Smoked Salmon with dill crème fraîche on sour dough toast. My wife went for the smoked haddock on a potato rosti both were £10. Good value for money I'd say. With a Latte and 2/3 of beer the total cost was just over £26.

The staff were attentive without being overbearing and as the morning went on it became increasingly busy.

A lovely little bottle shop is attached selling various beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks too.

Overall, a great experience and well worth the visit if you're in Sheringham for the day. The train station is a 5 mins walk and the North Norfolk railway is less than 2 mins. Or you can get the bus as this stops right outside.

I chose this place because of the excellent craft beer selection - but I was blown away by the food. It’s the little things that made it so good. Amazing bread, dressings on salads etc were next-level. Would v much recommend.

Had a wonderful evening tonight with great food and wine. Staff were excellent. Ordered 9 tapas between 4 of us. Large portions so plenty for everyone. Everything looked
and tasted lovely. Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Great food, generous portions, really tasty. Very good wine choices. Good prices - value for money. Good and quick service, nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Lovely place with lovely decor, the food was delicious. We had brunch, great variety of dishes it was hard to choose.

Probably the best vegan full breakfast in Sheringham. It's very very good.
