Food was ok and they have enough sitting space. The upstairs washroom was very dirty and the pipe was leaking. The order takes time to come. Their bun porotta and mutton chukka is nice.

Madurai Konar is a colourful little South Indian restaurant on the fringe of Karama. Located beside the Ustad Hotel (behind the Emarat petrol station and LuLu’s), its interior is neat, modern-ish and very, very yellow. I gave my car in to the Al Karama Service Station adjacent to the petrol station for a 27 Dirham car wash and came in for my routine Friday morning South Indian breakfast.

I have exactly the same thing at every South Indian restaurant, Idli-Vada dip and a Masala Dosa. Why? So I have a reference to compare one against another. And also because I have a weakness for all three. My idli-vada dip arrived in a posh looking thali tray with (surprise, surprise) a spoon and fork as opposed to two spoons. Both were superb; the idli, light and fluffy and the vada, crunchy on the outside and spongy on the inside with little bits of whole spice and ginger which I love. The sambar is one of the best in the business and the chutneys were very good too.

My dosa was bigger than the one I recently had at Venus and equally good (that includes the delicious potato masala). Pièce de résistance was their excellent, must have filter coffee – oof, oof, oof!
Throughout my breakfast feast I was looked after by a kind natured young waiter whose positivity and ear-to-ear smile were infectious (see picture). I could not have asked for a better way to start my weekend – thank you Smiley.

One is spoilt for choice of South Indian in Karama. If and when you are fed up of heavyweights like Sangeetha and Venus and Saravanaa Bhavan and Shri Krishna Bhavan and…(the list is long), spare a thought for this little yellow gem. Trust me, it’s well worth a visit. And if you’re driving you might want to consider dropping your car off at the Al Karama Service Station for one of the best value for money car washes in town.

The Restaurant is Sauth Indian and have typical South Indian dishes with perfect South Indian taste. Very cheap price or I can reasonable price and there are not too much rush and parking you can find easily. If you need change of taste then you should try here.

I travelled around 50kms to try authentic madurai dishes but was disappointed much. First the ambience was so poor and the ac was not working(or the cooling was not much i dont know), the waiter was sweating all over and the restroom was so unhygenic. Second, they didnt have mutton biryani and the answer from the waiter was that they didnt plan mutton biryani for the day. Third, the taste of chicken biryani was very mediocre and jigathanda was like damn what was that. I dont understand why dont we maintain a standard for our native restaurants. People are trying to support but with the standard maintained like this for sure its not good in the longer run. Hope the owner sees this review and act on it.

Long waiting for short Biriyani... U need to wait 20 to 30 minutes for a Biriyani..not a normal Biriyani.worst Biriyani in the town. Less quantity and quality, if u are not from tamilnadu or u can't speak Tamil properly, u will not get proper attention from the staff

A pleasant 2 night stay on a work trip. Staff on reception and in the bar/restaurant were all helpful and friendly. Food seemed quite good and the bar area was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit mixed - the buffet options were limited but, although i didnt order any, the cooked options looked good and were made to order. I appreciated coffee from the gaggia rather than the usual dreary self service machines so common in the chain hotels. The hotel is next to a,busy road but i didn't find it noisy in my room. An enjoyable overall stay.

I've stayed here many times. The food is very good. Service might be a bit slow as breakfast is cooked to order. But always worth the wait. Rooms are lovely. View over the River Thames is wonderful. Great for a sunrise if you are an even numbered room. Dog friendly. Inside and outside.

What an absolutely gorgeous hotel . The bar & restaurant are spacious with a beautiful decor . Our room 115 on the first floor was absolutely gorgeous. The Decor was lovely ,bed very comfortable, cleanliness was so outstanding . Housekeepers very friendly .my only gripe was where the coffee is kept in the room there is no lighting as the air con system is above so I had to put my torch on my phone and prop it up so I could make a coffee.

This hotel is run by some of the nicest young people aka kids ????????we have ever met. Everyone was fun and helpful and the view of the river is nice as well! Great spot to stay before you fly out of LHR since it’s so close but far enough that you don’t get the airplane noise at night.

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon meal by the river in Chertsey. Ordering was easy via the Youngs app, the food was good and the staff were friendly. There were tables available on a sunny Sunday afternoon which was great as we hadn’t booked ahead. Free car park next door for plenty of cars and a good location next to the river with plenty of outdoor seating.

After a very disappointing experience at a nearby pub we arrived at the Bridge trying to rescue our Sunday lunch, the lady that served us (Jess) could not do any more for us if she tried. We had a lovely meal and the service was 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend the Bridge to eat and drink.

Excellent stop over for classic car club. Undercover secure parking. Outstanding breakfast and excellent service all round. We'll pleased.

Not along arrived, and having to wait 20mins for the receptionist to come to the desk. Room 1 has a good view to the river, but the standards I would say, the room needs some refurbishment, the bathroom mirror light does not work. And tiles in the bathroom, need regrouting. This place is a tadge grubby.

The windows need a repaint, and the windows look grubby also.

Waited for about 5 hours for the burger shack to open, to then be told. Sorry because of the weather. It will not be opening. And this is after i had already asked, what time was it opening. Then to be told after 5 hours by a rude member of staff try nxt weekend,
( are you serious) This is not acceptable ɓehaviour. Im on holiday for one night only.

For these reasons your staff members get a one star from me..

When i pay over 200quid for a night to stay in a grubby room, and poor service. I have to say to myself, I shall not be coming here again..

The only thing nice about my room is the wall decor behind the bed, however that does look nice.

My advice is (Sort your staff out)????????
