Dawooda staff is very helpful.
Lucky the front desk officer was very supportive and it was her promptness which will go a long way for the hotel. A truly “Lucky” staff.
Denver the staff was very helpful too.

The rooms seem rather dated, but it is still very comfortable. The bar on the mezzanine is very good for watching sports and evening drinks.
Would stay if there are no better options. Last I heard the Hotel was to he sold.

Overall I can say I will avoid this hotel for the next time.
Most of the staff are not courteous enough to greet you. We had to carry out luggage to our cab on our own. No one came to drop the luggage.
The breakfast is almost same everyday, and becomes monotonous after 1-2 days.
The rooms are okay and bathroom is very small.
Swimming is a joke here.
Only plus point is they give unlimited water bottles which is not so common in Dubai.

Hopefully this answers most of the questions you have about the property.
Pros:
- Location: 5 mins walk from Sharaf DG metro station and lot of India/vegetarian friendly eateries around Bur Dubai area
- Gold souk: Gold souk (Al Ras metro station) is less than 5 mins from Sharaf DG
- Housekeeping staff is very friendly and courteous and will always greet you with a smile
- Breakfast buffet staff is also very helpful and will serve with a smile
- Property has a gym and pool/jacuzzi
- Potable Water: Whenever you are running short on water, just call the reception and you’ll receive a fresh set of water bottles FREE of cost (this is really nice and not every property in the area has this benefit)
Cons:
- Breakfast buffet: Literally the same breakfast is served everyday and it’s mostly tasteless. All 5 days, live counter had variety omelettes and dosa each day everyday (no efforts in preparing an exciting buffet breakfast is made)
- Staff at reception: Person at the main entrance and staff at the reception are not of much help. My luggage was submitted at 12:30 and I checked in the room at 1 PM asking them to bring the luggage, there were no signs of the luggage till 3 PM and I had to again call them and ask for the luggage which was surprising
- Gym: Dumbbells are of uneven measurements and gym requires more maintenance but is usable
- Swimming pool: I am surprised by the pool, it’s very small and more of a plunge pool
- Small washroom considering 4 star property
The biggest let down is the person at the main entrance, he will neither greet you nor open the gate for you to enter, I am not sure why he is there in the first place and no one will help you to load/unload the luggage in your vehicle.
Overall, for me the property is more of a 3 star experience and definitely not a 4 star.

The suite room I had on the fourth floor was dark and small. Bathroom needs renovation, the carpet is depressing, and the TV in shocking!!
In the current state I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for more than a shuteye. I thought the hotel is below Bonvoy standard.
Location is fantastic since you are in the heart of Dubai.
