It was a good experience overall except for one of the waiters snapping at us saying it's not a fine dining restaurant, when we requested to be served

Mazmi cafe served high-quality illy coffees, gelato, juices, and finger food with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements.
The place takes you back in time when Abra was used to cross the creek.
We ordered the Spanish Latte and caramel latte. I'm very impressed with this cafe and will definitely come back. A hidden Gem to discover within Dubai.

Ordered 2 Americanos (chocolatey and nutry notes, not acidic, the perfect sip) - Eggs Benedict - Shakshouka - and Mazmi Bread Basket. The SHAKSHOUKA was intensely tomato and rich with flavour, I LOVED IT. Their Halloumi in the bread basket is super moist and soft, the best I’ve had in a while.
Service is quick and friendly. Prices are super reasonable. Views are amazing! Will be back again and again????????????

If it was only for the view, location and food, I would give 5 stars.
But the attitude of the waiter was so poor. We visited in the evening around sunset and as we walked in, we found a place and we were taking photos of the place, the creek, the water taxis, birds etc. by the time we used the restroom and we were ready to order, it was around 10 minutes.
This waiter then came around and asked to take our order. I asked that he wait 2-3 minutes because we were just going through the menu. He rudely said we had already spent 15 minutes in and if we didn’t order….
I wanted to pick a fight but my wife was tired and we wanted to eat something first. So we ordered something right away and then ordered some more after a few minutes.
The food was lovely and the Mazmi basket was worth the value.
What lingered on more for me is that poor attitude of the waiter. Perhaps he judged us by our skin color/race and incorrectly assumed that we would just float there without ordering food. I but wonder if the same waiter would’ve shown the same attitude to someone with fairer skin color.
The owner should take notice and train their staff to understand customers better.
We for sure may not return to this place.
