I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this treasure of a church whilst out and about in West Linton. I popped in with my dog and was delighted at the beautiful stained glass (unusual for these Scottish kirks) and the intricate carvings.

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and was pleased that the door was open for visitors. I enjoyed this beautifully maintained church all alone with my little dog. Just as I was leaving, the chap that locks the church up at night came in, and we had a good chat. He is a lovely man (from Liverpool), and he told me about the Church's history and the story of the two ladies who spent many years doing all the carving work in the second half of the 19th Century. He have me a leaflet all about the St Andrew's kirk.

I really enjoyed my visit, and was greatly impressed at how well the folk of West Linton look after this church.
