Staff does not treat you as a customer, but rather as a burden... Very unprofessional and unethical behavior.
I'm not a "customer is always right" advocate, but I am not the cashier's son to permit him to talk to me in a rude way and give me life lessons... pathetic staff behavior really.
However, the only reason this shop might be getting a one star rather than zero, other than it being the minimum rating, is the high variety of low quality products and subsequently the low variety of good quality products.
Please work on this issue, this is my honest and truthful review, and always remember that customers are the most important part of the business.

Terrible customer service, always rude with their customers and nonchalant. Why in the world would I do my groceries when someone is being rude to me there ?
Overpriced, unclean shop and low selection of variety

Very rude and unprofessional store owner.

The store is dirty and full of poor quality products. On top of that, it’s very overpriced…

The customer service leaves much to be desired and seemingly lacks fundamental training in etiquette and politeness.

I would highly recommend to avoid this place.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior’s charm as on the inside it is no more charming than war ravaged 1946 west berlin. “Horrible” is an understatement as to how bad the service is. Avoid at all costs !!

While I was ordering some called and.said your late and. He said ok I will bring and I didn't.see anyone doing anything and they add higher prices. And the cashier keeps trying to give stuff to buy

It’s very rare I ever give top marks for everything but…. Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. Ive never eaten a roast dinner in a restaurant and thought it was better than my own, but the black horse is on a level with mine but their meat was way better. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, approachable and friendly. The dessert was ???????????? chefs kiss. The garden is a really lovely spot and it’s just a really chilled out vibe good for all ages and families too. They replenished the food constantly and it smelt amazing. The lamb was so tender and flavourful. Love this place will definitely be recommending and coming back regularly. 10/10

This was a family meal for a birthday celebration. We sat outside in glorious sunshine. The food was superb, starters, mains alike. Beautifully cooked and presented. What made it extra special was the outstanding service, all the waitresses were great, but Lauren was amazing. She was personable, attentive (one of our party required Lacto free food, Lauren checked and double checked go ensure it was all good). A big thank you from us all, especially to Lauren for making it a wonderful experience.

We were visiting nearby and I looked online for a place to eat. That is how we found out about The Black Horse. When I saw they offered lambs liver i had to eat there. I was not disappointed. Delicious! All the food that came to our table was fabulous. If we should be in the area again at some point, i would definitely go back there.

Just had a fantastic Sunday carvery here at the Black horse. Never been before. Can't wait to go again. Food was fantastic, plenty of it, and you can keep going back for more. Puddings we're huge and very good. Pub was busy, and I can see why, will be going back again soon

Lovely special meal out. Seafood starter lovely. Shared between 2 and still plenty, so watch out when ordering. Even the smaller portion main meal was plenty and good value. Very creative desert in a bag????

First time visit after 4 attempts to The Black Horse after reading the reviews of their Sunday Carvery. Well, the reviews are spot on. Lovely atmosphere, the staff are pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed a superb carvery and would definitely return again. There is no parking but spaces available on the side streets with a walk less than 5 minutes.
