Fantastic food, fantastic service what more could you want. If you are in the area definitely give this place try. We didn't go into the beer garden but it did look really nice too

Everything was acceptable, the service was good, although the side room we were in was very warm, and occasionally forgotten by the staff. The place was very busy (to be expected on a sunny Sunday) so we didn't expect anything other than a small wait. The food was good, not exceptional, but good. Beef Sunday lunch was good, Burgers were acceptable and sweets were nice. Bread and Butter Pudding was very good. 4/5 is a decent reflection of the experience.

We went there a few times for a meal and a night out while on holiday. The atmosphere is very good and also have a band on at the weekend, who were brilliant. The food was very good and delicious, we both had the steak pie with vegetables, delicious, came with the choice of mash or chips, I loved the sticky toffee and my husband liked his cinder honeycomb sundae.

The Sunday roast was so good we had to revisit later in the week for the amazing fish and chips.
The pub is fantastic in a beautiful location.
The staff are lovely.

Stopped here for drinks only in the large beer garden double Gin and tonic and pint ofl Lager £14.90 the first time £17.60 the second time, cheaper to drink in the city centre. Beer garden was nice but spoilt by loud music coming from a large shed. Overall not good value for money.

Nice beer garden. Don't know about the food, it looked good and staff looked on the ball. Small shed like things on the beer garden so eating out of the way of the weather is possible. ( Seating inside too)

Sat outside in the beer garden which is a sun trap and a nice setting. Staff taking drinks and food orders were pleasant and efficient. Menu has a good range of food choice but is a bit on the pricey side for what you get in my opinion. I had gammon with potato mash, it didn’t come with any veg or salad which was an unwelcome surprise. Having said that what was on my plate was nice but at a premium cost.

Great place to stay and eat. The room was comfy and plenty of space. The shower was a bit on the small side for the fully figured man. The staff were excellent and helpful. They did very well considering it was New year's day 2023 and rhe place was rammed all day until 8.30pm
