My wife studied abroad in Scotland and lived here while doing so. During our visit this time the Palace was locked away from the general public. The staff here were kind enough to let us in for an art show that we accidentally purchased tickets for a day early. It is generally not open but it is a beautiful and historic building. If you are ever visiting Dalkeith be sure to visit the grounds so you get to see it.

The Palace ground a great for all with an adventure park Fort George for the kids

Lovely setting. Good coffee and really good flapjacks. The shop is very interesting and the staff are attentive and helpful.

Lovely walks, lovely cafe and lovely coffee shop. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of free parking.
