Built between 1275 and 1285. This tower was used to house prisoners of noble rank. Its most famous captive was Lady Jane Grey's husband, Lord Guildford Dudley.

Thomas Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick was imprisoned in this tower at the end of the 14th century for rebelling against king Richard II. The building has been used to house prisoners throughout its history.
Some prisoners carved graffiti into the Tower’s walls ensured they would be remembered after death.

Best pictures of the Tower are gained from outside the gates on the Wester side or from Tower Hill. Sculptured archers man the battlements.

Quick visit and therefore a must see. The engravements of former prisoners are really interesting

This one's worth a visit, even if it's just to see the graffiti carved in the walls by the condemned inmates, some of which are very elaborate, there's also a good information board explaining the most famous of the convicts, a quick 10 to 15 minute visit is all you need though.

Beauchamp Tower is part of the brick and stone defensive inner wall to the Tower of London. It was built between 1275 and 1281 by Edward I. Battlements were added in 1850s. Contains extensive graffiti from 16th and 17th century prisoners. Held the husband of Jane Grey before his and her execution. She was queen of England for 9 days.

This is a must see attraction of London Tower. It is difficult to fathom some of this scratchings have been made close to 500 years ago and the rich history that has taken place.
