Lovely local museum. Well worth a look. Ask for the Queer Norfolk leaflet to explore the LGBT+ historical links. Anna Gurney and others. Oscar Wilde stayed at the Cafe de Paris hotel. There are still ghostly remnants to find.

Quite disappointed in what was on offer for the money . After a quick look in the 3 downstairs displays in the courtyard we ventured upstairs to find NOTHING!
Remember going before and seeing plenty of exhibits.
Other larger museums charge the same price.
So if you want to waste a fiver and half an hour looking at elephant bones and photos of dead fishermen then this is the place for you.

I took in a mammoth bone of which I found and spoke to a lovely lady, of whom took a picture and said curator would be in touch to ID it. It’s quite large and been confirmed it’s probably part of vertebrae or is the shoulder blade of a mammoth, an excellent find apparently. You would think MUSEUM of this kind would certainly be interested! I never heard , so I called the lady and was told the curator was leaving his post, but would chase it, never heard a thing! Very disappointed ????

Nice museum, friendly staff, but really not worth the nearly 9.00 for one adult and a kid, it took about 10 minutes to look round.

Great local history museum which gives you just what a local museum should; dog friendly, a bit of geology, a mammoth, oldest footprint discovered outside of African continent; photographer Edith Edis I’d never heard of, with some great portraits. Well worth a visit.

Much enjoyed visiting Cromer Museum. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

A very nice little museum focusing on the prehistoric times and the life in Cromer. Higly recommend a visit during the summer holidays. The museum remains closed during the winter.
