Wonderful park, with fishing ponds, Priory, formal gardens, and lots and lots of flowering plants from spring to late summer. Play area for kids, snd a band stand, plus recreational areas. Prittle flows through, bordered with marsh flowers. Recommended!

Excellent display in an atmospheric building that transports you through 1000 years of history. All set in a wonderful park. And welcoming, knowledgeable staff.

Lovely park with a beautiful old bandstand and mature trees. The bandstand has regular live music. There is a nice cafe near to the bandstand serving hot and cold food and drinks. There is a large open field area and a lake and several paved walking areas.

The park is spoilt slightly by totally inadequate car parking spaces. After driving through the park 3-4 times, we eventually had to park in a side road outside the park. This could make it difficult for the infirm or disabled.

Such a beautiful park and amazing views. For couples to sit down and enjoy the views this a perfect place.

Truly stunning park.. FREE.. great for all ages. The gardens, grounds and old buildings are very well kept. There is parking free. Not so much so try to go on days not so busy. There is also a small cafe for drinks and food, or take your own and have a picnic. in the grounds there is a kids play area and also very nice duck ponds.

Wonderful park, best in Southend. Live music most weekends at the bandstand over summer. Great little cafe-cash only though. Plenty of space to run, picnic, ride a bike, walk a dog etc and there's a kids playground. Toilets. And if course the priory.

A park I never knew had so much history. So many hidden features and parks within parks. I really enjoyed my first walk around this park in the winter. I can imagine in the summer its equally as beautiful and with just as much to see and do.

It's quite a large area with a lot of sport / physical activities taking place. The Hall and it's immediate gardens are of interest o anyone wanting to know a bit about the history of the place.

There's also a Brook and a couple of big ponds.

The area in front of the (usually free) car park is sometimes used for concerts or other outdoor events.
