I recently visited this sushi restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The food was incredibly tasty and delicious, and each dish was made with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Despite a mistake during our order, the staff was extremely gracious and accommodating, and they didn't even charge us for the dish in question. This level of customer service was truly remarkable and made the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, I highly recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic culinary experience. The food was top-notch and the service was exceptional. I will definitely be back soon

I have been visiting Origami for over 5-6 years now, and I’m glad they kept some of my favourites like the yellowtail tataki, crispy sushi rice, etc. Sad to see they removed the foie gras from the wagyu gyoza, but understandable due to the ethical movement against force feeding ducks. My only wish is if the owner would allow high chairs because we brought my 1.5 year old daughter with us (she ate the yakisoba without the prawns or chili — and enjoyed it a lot!!) and she had to sit in my lap the entire time.

What I loved at this dinner: seaweed salad, crispy rice with salmon and jalapeño, sunset maki roll, wagyu skewers. Our friends also ordered the truffle ponzu tuna ceviche, which was excellent, and the black miso cod — which was ultra smokey and just decadent.

What I didn’t like: the short rib bao (dry, boring, poor value for money), soft shell crab maki (tasteless, texture was soggy), and the wagyu potato chips (strange hor d'oeuvres overall).

Sorry I forgot to take pictures of everything but Origami has maintained consistency throughout the years, extra star for that! Not my favourite Japanese restaurant in Dubai by any means; but I definitely recommend visiting with good friends or to go on a date here every now and then :)

Beautiful little restaurant with outdoor seating and view of the ocean with a friendly staff. The sushi was delicious, tasty and very fresh. You should definitely start with the Crispy rice (I had mine with spicy tuna). The nigiri is my favorite. I am not much into rolls but the Prawn roll is delicious, so many flavors.

Places like this are called “the hidden gem”
Very small restaurant with a big variety of fusion Japanese cuisine. Surprisingly tasty!

The food is INCREDIBLE! I have eaten sushi in a million places end the New Shashimi Yellowtail Jalapeño was the best I've ever had! The Origami roll was delicious as well. Hakeem was our server and he was truly a pleasure and made the experience more enjoyable. We sat outside to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful view! Seeing the yatchs, jet skis, and ppl enjoying themselves in the water made it fun. Will definitely come back!
