Great experience but be prepared for a huge crowd of tourists and school trips. Also, if you want to see the Royal Jewels, be sure to get there as soon as it opens. Otherwise, you will be waiting at least an hour to even get in.

There is plenty to see. There is a lot to see in the White Tower. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs, both up and down in the White Tower.

This place is rich in history and there is a lot to take in. The cafe is very nice with good food.

Overall my family and I had a great experience except for the amount of people.

The Tower of London is a well done historical location that tells the history and yet still plays an active role in protecting the crown jewels. For us the two best

By having the displays of the Crown Jewels in the middle, it allowed the crowds to get sorted out and everyone knew what you were waiting for. We were there at about 1030am and had to wait 20 minutes. If it's raining you will be waiting in the elements during this time, the queue is in the middle of the yard. The queue moved quickly and it very organized. There were lots of school tours on the day we were in which meant lots of energy in the room. The crown jewels were a high point for us. Even the empty crowns are impressive but you have to seem them in person to really understand. We ride the conveyor belt by amd looked and then, went back in the viewing deck and read about the items, with the new inclusion of King Charles III and then went through again and it was even better. The emeralds, sapphires, and rubies pop, but the diamonds are the stars.

The White Tower warns visitors about the numbers of stairs they will be climbing ... you climb them a few floors at a time and look at the exhibits but when you come down, it's from the top to the bottom in a tight spiral, which means that there are not breaks and a queue behind you. The White Tower with the cannons, munitions, abundance of armor and story of the Kings' armor were impressive.

The dungeons, ramparts, and stories are all very good. We liked the jewels and White Tower best.

Admission was a little steep but totally worth it. We paid under £30 per person, but it varies by date and what website you purchase through. We bought tickets in person and not in advance.

As soon as we walked in there was a beefeater starting a complimentary tour. He was very funny and informative, and explain the history of the castle and the surrounding areas with a lot of detail given to the history of executions here.

There is also an audio tour available at an additional cost.

We left his tour to go explore by ourselves and we saw the king's Chambers which were fascinating and included a marker in the chapel where King Henry VI was assassinated. Awesome. There were active guards marching around who still live inside the castle.

Actors were doing a play in the courtyard by the White Tower. There were plenty of bathrooms and a couple of cool gift shops.

You could easily spend three or more hours here.

As with most attractions in the city, parking could be a problem but we did not have a car.

Great day out, bit pricey on the entrance but worth while if you plan to visit a number of royal palaces with the annual membership. Push chair lock up really helped. Audio guide was good, guide at Herculaneum could learn a lot from this.

Excellent experience. A must visit will be back again. Definitely need to take a warders tour. Make sure you allow plenty of time as always busy. Audio tour definitely needs updating and making it easier to follow.

Took my partner here as I don’t believe they been before and they loved it despite the sheer amount of people visiting. It’s best not to come in the summer time when crowds are big and queues are long. Still amazing and the atmosphere is buzzing, there is plenty to see and you could spend a day inside soaking up the history. Vending carts still use card payments as the main method of payment and thus remember this if you only carry cash.

Not cheap, but worth every penny. So much to see, you could easily spend 3 or more hours here. Crown Jewels are outstanding. The Tower is also on the embankment so great for a relaxing walk and great views of Tower Bridge, the Shard, and the Thames.

Major History lesson for all ages! A must see. Buy your tickets ahead of time and be sure to join one of the Yeoman Warder tours for witty historical insights. Plan on spending 3-4 hours to see all the sights. Bring snacks or buy some on site.
