Parking ticket despite being there just 25mins at 8am on Boxing Day.
The signage is complicated and overlong. I was assured by others I met in the car park who saw me struggling with the app that the reason Gunpowder Park wasn’t coming up as an option was because there was no charge on Boxing Day.

Unfortunately despite appeal to Parkingeye they were wrong, so we all got a £60 (for early payment) fine.
Pity their parking app doesn’t work as well as their fines process.

If you must come to this park dominated by noise from the M25 make sure you bring some coins for the machine. If that’s working (I see from other reviews it often isn’t).

Didn't lose the kids, but they loved riding the bikes. Lovely space, interesting history... Named after the fact it was a military artillery test range?

We learned about the different bat's that live in the park and just enjoyed the simple open walk.

Gunpowder Park has a car park for about 30 cars and costs about a quid an hour to 4 hours then £5 for up to 24 hours. There are toilets by the car park. The grasslands are pleasant without being spectacular and it is a shame that you can't walk along the Lea River. I would say that the Lea Valley north of M25 is a more attractive destination than this bit.

Car park charges paid by coin only on site (who has coin now!) or you must have an app and create an account providing card details. Trapped now I'm here due to £100 "fine". Won't be coming back.

It's a decent car park, that's usually big enough, but at peak times (like Parkrun) can become full. Parking is £1 for 1 hour or £2 for 24 hours. Currently the ticket machines are broken, so you have to pay online, so you have to pay an extra service charge.

Plenty of parking 20-30 minutes b4 9:00 parkrun. Never paid using site or app b4, so used cash payment m/c.
I allowed 2 hours which I paid £1 for.
I paid b4-hand, but can be paid on leaving. Cameras have you reg, so no skipping payment!!
