So, i was admitted to Oban Hospital Tuesday 20th Jan.
The staff are absalutely amazing in Ward be. Friendly, funny and very happy.
My nurse Michelle has been absolutely brilliant nothing is too much to ask and always has time to answer any questions you have.

The little orderly Zena! Little angel, kept me fed and watered even offering toast and tea. Such a sweetheart.

Myself and my daughter came over from tobermory mull today to get her cast removed (broken wrist) they noticed where we were from and got us dealt with swiftly, very happy!

Only been in since sat but all staff have been great. Cant fault it in any way. Just started to have food and its that good you could set up a posh restaurant here as the food is that good. Doctors nurses cleaners and all other staff are 100% if you are going there at all it is a nice place to be and very clean.now home I would like to thank all staff in ward A & B for all the support and help I got when I was in nothing was to much for them and always with a smile

I wish to express our grateful thanks to the doctors, nurses and general staff on Ward B for their care of my partner Rodney Brown who was admitted on 24 October with a heart problem whilst on holiday at Loch Awe hotel. Everyone was so kind and helpful to us..with special mention of Jenny, Gillie and Liz..who were such a support for me..in my hour of need! I have never known such kindness..from June Tomlinson, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Pleased to add he is improving daily.

I came to Oban on holiday but unfortunately ended up in lorn &Island Hospital. I have never came across staff like them. So helpful and couldn't do enough for me.

My Grandfather was admitted to this hospital and stayed for almost two months. Everytime I went to visit there were different nurses who didn't even know who he was, they could not tell me any information regarding his health and one nurse actually managed to tell me whether he had or hadn't put any weight on or made an improvement and that was only because I made a fuss. On one visit my Grandfather looked un well and I could see he had difficulty talking. I looked in his mouth and his dentures were filthy and the smell was putrid, he had oral thrush. I cleaned his dentures myself as well as his mouth. His finger nails were dirty and he had food around his mouth. Another time I took him some bananas and he ate like a man who had been starved. I told the nurses that I had left bananas on his table and they were not aware that he liked them..thats after I pointed to him and said that man there..my Grandfather as they did not know who he was. I truely believe that he was left there to die because he was old and had cancer, just like the other people in rooms you saw as you passed by, mouths open, alone waiting to die. So glad we finally got him home to look after him properly.

I was in Ward A recently for a colonoscopy. The team in Ward A couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable. I experienced a lot of genuine kindness. I would say a good place to be if you need to be hospitalised!

I was recently admitted to this superb hospital for a minor local procedure. The professional attention, expertise and friendliness was exceptional from the start to finish. Very much appreciated and my sincere thanks for a superb experience and outcome. Thankyou
