Having rented in this area for years this by far is the worst cottage I have ever stayed in. We arrived to find one bed not made up and there was me thinking you rent the whole cottage all beds should be made up! The duvets and sheets were stained and needed replacing. Yes the garden is wonderful, large and fully enclosed for pooches and the kitchen is well equipped but it seriously needs renovating and a jolly good clean. There is no washing machine despite there being an attached garage where one could be sited, as it remained locked during our two weeks. The stair carpet is loose at the top of the stairs which I tripped over cutting my foot on the gripper rod. Dust and cobwebs everywhere, dull decor and the three piece suite has seen better days, dirty on the backs where many greasy heads have sat! Paving in both front and rear of property is loose and dangerous. It is a shame that despite repeated reviews requesting renovation the owners have done very little to the property. I would not stay here again there are far better let’s elsewhere in the village.

Yes the place is old and dated but it is also generally filthy. There are holes in the bedroom ceiling meaning dirt and ceiling is falling on the beds, there are cobwebs and spiders everywhere, the patio and steps slabs are loose and dangerous, the bedding is stained. On the postivie side its a good location and the garden has a lovely view but the patio furniture is filthy and broken. This place needs looking after as it has just been left with no maintenance on it.

Had a wonderful stay, stunning unspoilt little cottage, incredibly comfortable. Hope it stays like it is, too many over modernised so called cottages. Will be booking again in 2023.

Not the best cottage I've stayed in, lots of issues
Stained duvet cover, lights not working in lounge, toilet seat kept moving, kettle needs descaling, cottage needs a deep clean.
Lots of these issues had been made aware to the owners who didn't seem to read reviews

Going back to my childhood,fabulous cottage beautiful village and if I remember correctly pony's galore at the end of the lovely garden
