I love SIZ! The closet sharing concept is just what every girl needs! I stopped buying new evening dresses for each event since I met the SIZ team. The team are very helpful and responsive and most of all, the clothes are TDF!

The palace is one of the best-preserved Renaissance buildings in the UK and has been refurbished to look as it might have done around 1540s.
The royal chambers include the magnificent rooms where nobles and courtiers met their monarch and the bedrooms where the royals retired with their closest companions. They are also home to brightly-painted replicas of the Stirling Heads and the breathtaking Hunt of the Unicorn tapestries which took many years to weave at a cost of £2 million.
Queen Mary in 1543, at the age of just nine months, she was crowned queen in Stirling Castle's Chapel Royal after the death of her father, James V. She lived at the castle for most of the first five years of her life until she was moved to Dumbarton Castle and eventually to France. Queen Mary returned to Scotland in 1561, and visited Stirling Castle frequently. She nursed Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley, through an illness here in 1565, and the two were soon married. Their son, James VI, was baptised here in December 1566.

Very cool, well-preserved palace of Stirling Castle! There are costumed guides in each room which are very entertaining and provide interesting educational tidbits.

It has been fascinating to see the restored palace with the fabulous copies of the Stirling Heads and the Truly magnificent reproductions of the Unicorn Tapestries. (Originals in the NY Met are a bit dull in comparison). First class snapshot of how tha palace might have looked.

Note that English Heritage Members get a very generous discount.

Szerintem a várak közül, talán még az Edinburghi-t is megelőzve, ennek van a legjobb hangulata. 3-4 órát minimum érdemes eltölteni a vár falai között. A kert nyáron impozáns, időt tölthetünk a mértani pontossággal megnyírt gyepen de gyönyörködhetünk a várból a környékre nyíló panorámában.
A falak közt több kiállítás is várja az embert, talán a leghíresebb, legfigyelemreméltóbb a kézzel szőtt falikárpitokat bemutató.
Az unikornis alakja impozáns, lenyűgöző, a keletkezéséről készült interaktívabb részleget, mely a vár hátsó részében található, senki se hagyja ki!

Рекомендую посетить сам городок Стерлинг, со всеми его строениями, и обязательно ЗАМОК, построенный на затухшем вулкане! Экскурсия на один день, удобное сообщение с Эдинбургом или Глазго, на поезде менее часа из любого из них!!!
