A great spot to stop on the final night of C2C. Clean and tidy rooms and secure bike storage. The view from our room was incredible (photo shows view from bed!) Food was pre-ordered and very tasty and a couple of local beers were available which was very welcome. Really friendly host and great stay overall, would stay again!

Absolutely outstanding place. The hospitality was very nice and the story about how the whole place came to be is fascinating. Also, the cakes are to die for, especially after the long climb on the bike ;)

Pedalled 20 miles and this place was shut but a lovely lady called Lorraine. I think came out and asked me if I was ok . I asked if I could have a chocolate bar She told me cafe was shut but then gave me a Chocolate muffin HOW NICE WAS SHE. Thanks loads. NICE .LADY X

A fantastic well looked after building with spectacular views, on the coast to coast cycle route,and is very popular,.they make you very welcome ,the owner and staff are really nice people.

We stopped here overnight whilst doing the Classic C2C bike ride. Situated right on the C2C it provides a great downhill start for the 3rd day. The place is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable. We ate here, need to preorder food, and it was lovely. Bottled beer and wine are plentiful. Secure bike storage provided.

I stayed here solo as part of my Coast to Coast cycle ride. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Lorraine was a wonderfully warm and welcoming host who makes you feel right at home. The rooms have quirky wooden doors and floorboards with views that are simply breathtaking. You really do feel as though you're in splendid isolation. The breakfast is home make and fabulous; perfect fuel for another day cycling. I highly, highly recommend!

Beautiful country side, then coffee and a sausage sandwich. We had to sit outside because we had the dog. The lady said they are going to open a room for Dog's and their owners. It was a little breezy outside but the sausage sandwich made up for it.
