From standalone Japanese restaurant perspective, the menu is very much exclusive and we ordered a good variety too. Seating areas are wide and spacious. However, food quality is average and nothing outstanding. Chicken katsu curry, gyoza, some of these items were good but we have seen ramen with more seafood for this price at several other joints and the prawn curry had literally small shrimps with counted number of pieces for relatively higher price.
The challenge appears to be in service time. For an upfront four item order, it really took much long to receive them although there were barely much guests in the restaurant.

Great place to eat with large group of friends. I also liked that their menu says the macronutrient numbers. Not that I am “calorie counting freak”, it’s just that it helps me choose which food in the menu will make me feel full and better after eating. ???? I had katsu chicken bento. I loved it when paired with japanese mayo!

Comment: I totally love Wandara the staff who served us. She’s so straightforward and honest. The kitchen staff just need to pay attention with customer request because we mentioned no mint leaves on the drinks but they still serve it with mint. We just immediately removed it after serving though. Anyway, I super love their food so I’m sure this is not my last visit.

Was good experience. Came pass 7pm and it wasnt busy, Place was clean and they sanitized the tables after every guests. Anjay —i hope i got the name right, and Jenny are both friendly and Polite,,,Ramen was good! I ordered Gyoza and Bento was also delicious. Just a little comment on the Tuna Sushi: it was a bit bland. But overall was good!

Amazing service, food quality and music!
I took the Dynamite Rolls and Avocado Makis and it was the best I’ve ever had!
Songs playing in the restaurant are very cool too ("old" pop/rnb).
Staff will also take care of you.

Sumo is one of our favorite Japanese Resto. The food quality is never compromised. This is the first time we visited Festival Plaza and so glad that we had lunch at Sumo Bento again.
