The library itself is great, but please monitor the quiet area better. The majority of people are respectful, but it’s distracting for everyone else when the need for silence/whispering is completely ignored, and frustrating when staff in the room choose to do nothing about it

Wonderful visit today. Simon was very helpful as my daughter needed books on a specific subject and he helped look even while the computers weren't working for a normal search. Very impressed.

It's a big beautiful building the toilet was out of order so had to use the gallery one. Lol

I can't get there at the moment but for the past couple weeks I've rang them up (and uses redial)to renew but no one answers and the line cuts out. Disappointed

Good library to visit in the centre of Hull. Easily accessible with a ramp for wheelchair users and those of us who use a rollator. Not fully open at the present time as the reference library is closed with no reason given other than 'until further notice'. There is a cafe that is accessible from the main entrance/reception. Visited the lending library on 08/06/23, I asked about the reference library and was told that it will reopen when it's ready, with no suggestion as to when that may be.

Offen go here to do work. The books are limited on certain subjects but the upstairs quiet work area is a gem most days and it's rare it's noisy. I often and easily go up their and work. The staff are very knowledge and I enjoy talking to them when they aren't busy.
