Centrally located in Pontefract, has some grrrreat stained glass windows. Grade 2 listed building. The church tower has a rare, octagonal top. North Arcade of 14th/15th century origin. Foundations of a Norman chapel have been discovered but the main body of the church is Georgian in aspect. Friendly, helpful gentleman at the reception area. The guidebook is only £1. Worth a visit.

Reordered church very light and airy

Went to St Giles' to look at how it had been reordered for more flexible use. Got a warm welcome from the caretaker and found the facilities very good. The main worship area is simple, unfussy and attractive.

A church well loved by tge residents of Pontefract. It has a homely feel about it but nothing striking in the way of architecture.
