Please, please use this Bookshop more. A comfy seat awaits those first browsers. If you cannot see books you want ask the very helpful staff member. Parking available at rear. Take your new book into the pub for a pint and a read (not children, obviously) The children's selection is worth a browse, though, books make good presents!

What a lovely little shop! Stopped in “just to look” and were immediately greeted by the manager. She is so friendly and knowledgeable, able to make fantastic recommendations based on the customer’s preferences rather than her own. We ended up purchasing several books and can’t wait to read them. Support small business and pay this shop a visit!

The loveliest little bookshop!! The staff are exceptionally helpful, particularly Megan and Chantal, and help me choose the perfect books every time. The window decorations are always beautiful, and the shop is gorgeous. I especially love the little sofa section upstairs to preview any books I want to read. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely fantastic, very prompt responses and very friendly! Chantal went above and beyond, she did not have to email me when the book I wanted arrived soon than expected (as I said not to worry about it). Chantal even arranged to take payment over the phone and deliver the book to me, great service! Super quick, super easy, absolutely no complaints!

And from what Chantal told me, it is a great addition to Cookham and I really hope it succeeds! Thank you so much!

Knowledgable staff able to advise on books for presents for adults and children. Very good choice or fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, classics and new as well as a lovely range of cards. Comfy chairs are a nice bonus. Open on Sundays too.

Ordered a book as a birthday present for our daughter, who lives locally to Cookham, as we are 160 miles away and it was personally delivered , gift wrapped and a card with our message included. Exceptional service that went above and beyond expectations. Well done!

Wonderful service, very friendly and quick response. I had a very last minute request for some books, and sent an email via the website to request them. Within a short time I got a reply, and spoke to Chantal on the phone. She ordered the books for me, made it possible to pay via phone, and wrote me an email as soon as she got the books the next day. She even worked with the hotel to organize the books to be picked up. I cannot thank you enough!
