Nice walk along the tow path past the lock. Nice scenery if canals are your thing. Used often as a dog walking path and as shortcut by the factory workers on their bikes. Can be busy near shift change time :)

Marina is a slight exaggeration. It's where a couple of dozen boats are moored, nothing else. There is a small parking area. Lots of people go at the weekend; it's a nice scenic walk/cycle along the tow path. It can be a pain if you actually have a boat moored there, as we do, as parking can be a real issue. There are absolutely no facilities there for boat owners, not even a proper bin. We wanted to moor somewhere less crowded with boats, and we got it, but the amount of money we pay every month it would be nice to have a boat owners parking area and locked bins.

Beautiful small village marina along the Aire and Calder Navigation Canal. Occasionally there is a tea boat

Lovely place to chill out whatever the weather. Great area for walking the dog or just having a walk, exercise, biking or even canoeing down the canal, something for everyone to enjoy.
