We were surprised to see “the Alley” here as we have had from the same brand in Japan. We got the usual one Pearl milk tea with brown sugar. Taste was nothing like we had in Japan. We were disappointed.

There is a small seating areas for those who want to chill there. They also sell some other stuff such as chicken legs ????.

Hope they can improve in the near future…

Ordered the royal no9 milk tea and this is by far the best and most authentic bubble tea I had in Dubai. The pearls have the right bounce in them and the milk tea was just perfect. I requested for less sugar cos I prefer my drinks less sweet. The owner was very friendly and we had the chance to try out their other selections of tea too! Had the cold brew oolong which was perfect for a hot summer day and the tie guan yin was very fragrant! 太好喝！

I'm not entirely sure if this branch is legit since they're not listed in the official site of The Alley. Their interior and menu says otherwise. As for their milk tea, it was "ok" for me. Not to sweet and not too unique as well. In short, it's a familiar milk tea taste that does not set it apart from the plethora of milk tea places around town. I was weirded out though that they offer hot food selections like takoyaki. It's like a China-Japanese combo joint happening at the same time. The place was small and good for takeaways.

Another Taiwanese Bubble tea staple in Dubai! Love the rounded cups. Their Gai Daan Jai is on point. Royal NO.9 and Jasmine green milk tea is the best. Must try their Aurora series slush drink, it's yum!

Authentic Taiwanese bubble tea! Do not keep the drink for too long as the “pearls” will harden. Definitely will be back to satisfy the craving.

Ordered No.9 milk tea. Very good. Brown sugar, good tea, good boba bubbles.
I wanted to take one away for later, the nice and helpful man(owner?) suggested that he make one for me that’s warm, so as to not have hardened boba later. Excellent service.

The Alley is a chain of bubble tea shops around the world, easily recognized by the deer (more like a 20 pt trophy buck) - this location in Dubai is tucked in the Chinese quarter of International City, mostly catered towards the Chinese expats of Dubai.

The bubble tea here is generally on par with other Alley chains but nothing to hit home about. Furthermore, given that it's in International City, you have to temper your expectations. There is a little bit more of a grungy feel.

We might be back, we might not, there are an increasing number of bubble tea shops in Dubai which will keep me busy. 4/5.

Great bubble tea, large variety on the menu and the tapioca bubbles are amazing. Quick service as well.
