REJECTION FROM THE ARBOR SCHOOL

The Arbor School was recommended to me by some local professionals when I was searching for a school for my daughter, who has anxiety and requires careful and conscious management during the transition. I believed that Arbor School might provide more professional and thoughtful approaches to help my daughter. However, my experience with them has been disappointing.

I initially spoke with Ms. Rachel Green, but after a brief conversation, she suggested that I explore other schools as well. While having a backup plan is understandable, her advice during our first interaction felt unwelcoming and made me feel rejected. We discussed visiting the school and meeting some teachers, and she promised to get back to me with the exact day. Unfortunately, I never received any communication from Arbor School. My emails to the her personal email address and voice messages suddenly went unanswered, which left me feeling neglected and ignored.

I feel that the school has rejected my daughter, possibly because they would need to put in some extra effort to accommodate her anxiety. This attitude displayed by Arbor School is not only hostile but also reflects a lack of professionalism. Ms. Green could have been honest and informed me that they don't have the necessary resources for a child with anxiety, or she could have simply replied, stating that their setting may not be the best fit for my daughter. Instead, leaving a parent hanging like this is highly unethical and provides me with a clear indication of the school's character.

In a way, I consider myself fortunate to have gained this direct and swift insight into the management of Arbor School. Based on this experience, I firmly believe that this school is not suitable for my daughter. Their handling of the situation has left me with serious doubts about their ability to provide the support and care she needs.

I did my research before enrolling our children to Arbor. And I’m so glad I chose this school. Our children are in the Early Years and we love their teachers. They have teachers concentrated for every subject. What is different about this school is that they’re not locked in a classroom. They get to learn outdoors and in different settings. The teachers are informative and share frequent updates, images and videos of the childrens progress. The one thing I am very pleased is the security and safety of the children. I’m also very pleased with the LSA (teacher assistants). They’re skilled and trained approximately. They’re not there to just comfort a child but are hands on with the teachers. It’s a positive environment.

It’s the only reason we are still in Dubai. Great sustainability approach, good curriculum and a child that is every day happy and excited to go to school and full of amazing adventures after pickup. Great!

I contacted the school for my 3 and 10months years old and the admission team wasn't professional at all...I had to register my son 3 times as I wasn't getting call back to explain anything, after the assessment they never bothered to call me back and let me know of the outcome... I had to call them and ask( the woman I talked to over the phone was a bit rude when i point out why they didnt call me )and after all of this waiting they came with the answer that they just saw his age and he cant be the grade i have registered him for . At the end of the day you are not offering free education to act like this, parents are paying a lot of money so please give some respect....come on when you are registering online you have to fill up all details about your child including date of birth, so how is this possible that they just have seeing it ????..disappointing experience, had a high expectations.

Our 2 kids went to Arbor for 2 years. It was an amazing experience for them. They loved going to school and never had any day of complaints. During COVID lockdown, i must say, we are pretty impressed how management and teachers have handled the change. It was excellent. And of course, if you are looking for inclusion, i will strongly suggest them. My son who has mild autism, was well taken care of. We had misunderstandings along the way, but i saw how they handled things professionally, and found ways to align with us.

The overall environment of the school is so polite and friendly. Staff (including guards and cleaners!) and teachers are so sweet and accomodating. 5/5 for you!

Outstanding school. The brilliant teachers at Arbor School have really gone above and beyond to help develop our children. Highly recommend the School to parents who want their children to study under the British curriculum and to become more conscious of the environment.
