I came across The Palestinian Bakery, loved the variety of baked goods they sold and I genuinely wanted to support this place too. Sadly, we were left disappointed. To begin with we settled for two fatayers- ‘Lahmeh Bi Ajine Fatayer’: commonly known as “meat pies”, wherein minced meat is spread across a soft dough topped with pomegranate molasses and herbs. Loved the flavours of the meat and combination of molasses but they forgot to top it with pine nuts as per their menu, that was a bummer. Although, it may sound petty but the addition of nuts gives that extra texture and flavour.

Next up, ‘Kofta Tahini Fatayer’: this baked eat had grilled beef kofta, onions, tomatoes, and potatoes topped with tarator (a tahini based sauce) and tomato sauce. As much as the ingredients sound delicious, we had high expectations for this but it fell short. For the price we paid 35/- aed, definitely wasn’t worth it. There was no tomato sauce, this wasn’t even close to what the picture depicts- yes, I know everything may not be what it seems on then menu, but there was a stark difference between how it’s made on the picture and what we got. I did love the sauce, but there was no caramelisation of the intended ingredients, making it watery due to the tomatoes, the kofta itself was a bit bland. Felt as though they did a sloppy job. Not sure if I’d order from here again or to play it safe maybe just order their cheese fatayers if you’re interested.

The packaging of the food is something I did like but wish I could say the same for their dishes.

CHEATING. Ordered delivery this morning from the branch in DAFZA. Both Chicken moussaka fatayer and Lahme fatayer were supposed to have pine nuts as toppings. Instead of pine seeds I found sliced Almond nuts, masquerading as Pine nuts. Almond nuts, Obviously, much cheaper than the Pine nuts, so restaurant is CHEATING it's customers. The taste of the food was not bad, but it was NOT AUTHENTIC. Please, don't think that you're smarter than your customers.

The Palestinian Bakery serves a variety of Levantine cuisine such as freshly baked fatayer, appetizers and bites which are perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I had recently visited a kiosk of this traditional neighborhood bakery, located in the heart of Al Serkal avenue. The location has a comfy outdoor seating available, with ample parking space within the premises.

The scrumptious products are budget friendly that are presented in an impressive packaging. Watching fatayer being prepared in a fire-pit, is a pleasant sight; something that you should definitely visit Al Serkal branch for.

We tried a variety of fatayer, which were manakish, nabulsi cheese, akkawi cheese, egg shakshuka, and loved each one of them. Especially chicken musakhan which is their signature dish and chef's special.

The appetizers were foul bil Tahini and hummus, which are served with 3 pieces of Arabic bread - fresh out of the oven

Couldn't resist trying the bites. Hence we ordered zaatar, nabulsi cheese and lahmeh bi a'jine (which contain minced meat and were our favorite)

Tabouleh is always a refreshing salad, which tasted even better with the dressing (a mix of olive oil and lemon)

For dessert, we tried kunafa cheese fatayer accompanied with sugar syrup which was a delicious, yet unconventional way to enjoy the traditional dessert

Would definitely recommend The Palestinian Bakery to all Levantine cuisine lovers

The bakery is very good.
high-quality, delicious fatayer
It seems that they have an ongoing promotion when you order from them directly via chat food - buy 1 get 1 free

I especially like their akkawi cheese and hummus, which tastes rather authentic

Without the offer, it is quite overpriced

Pop up at Alserkal Avenue, wood fired oven and proper authentic Palestinian food. Downside, outside seating only and during summer heat and humid nights, it gets uncomfortable. Reasonably priced and food is prepared quickly. Highly recommended and they do deliver
