Ensuring the happiness of the children at the school holds immense significance to me, as I profoundly value the pivotal role of a quality education. Although the school possesses numerous commendable aspects, there exists a compelling opportunity to further enhance the inclusion department through various means. For instance, introducing additional group sessions could be instrumental in facilitating social connections among children who encounter difficulties in forging friendships. Additionally, it is noticeable that a select group of exceptionally talented students consistently monopolize opportunities in choir, sports, music, and theatre plays, leaving little room for others to participate. Establishing a fair and equitable system that provides every child an equal chance to engage in these activities for a designated period becomes indispensable, as it fosters the exploration of diverse interests and unlocks their full potential. I must also commend the amazing principal for her dedication and leadership in fostering an environment of growth and excellence. By implementing these simple improvements, under the guidance of the remarkable principal, I am confident that RGS has the potential to become one of the premier schools in Dubai.

I’m not sure what these negative reviews are about, but this is our first year at the school and couldn’t be more delighted. Drop-off is peaceful and organised, the teachers are fantastic—very caring, and there is a feeling of warmth and structure. There is also an emphasis on character and being an upstanding person (as opposed to money and flash). In Dubai where it is easy to get caught up in the show and window-dressing, RGS feels grounded and focused on what truly matters.

If I could give negative stars I would. Extremely poor and unprofessional conduct and communication of the admissions team (and beyond). We were in the middle of admissions process when on the day of our assessment (which kept getting postponed) we were informed 15 minutes ahead it won’t take place, since allegedly their capacity has been filled out for Y1, although we were informed when paying the application fee that there is plenty of available spots and no waitlist. I sent numerous emails to the staff (headmistress included) and got a half-hearted apology with a promise of rescheduling, which, of course, never happened. Follow up, follow up- again no answer. When I asked for a refund of our fees due to their poor management of our application I was yet again met with silence.

If their treatment of candidates at admissions is any indication of what to expect from this school in the long run, then no thank you. Our children and ourselves deserve better. Way better.

Very disappointing, poor communication with the admission team. I don’t think RGS has kids interest at heart. Our daughter was registered to start year 7, and we learn one day (eventhough i chase to get the info) before the open day for new students of year 7 that she was moved to a waiting list ! We sent earlier an email that we might move away but it wasn’t confirmed yet.
We never had any communication about the fact that our daughter would be or was moved to the waiting list and of course no refund or anything like that.
If we stay in dubai, we haven’t registered in any other school, thanks to RGS our daughter will have to go to another school that she didn’t choose.
I hope this can help other students/parents.
Being 10 years in dubai, 2 times and 4 kids, first time it happens to me… when you communicate about excellence, better to be in line with your marketing…

They only take children with English unjustifiedly today. I know for sure, before that the school took children without English. Very high price. The school staff are not all far from native speakers, although the school has history, but why can't you hire more educated people? Why such a price? I want an explanation.

It is the second time I register my son for Summer camp, the camp is really good and the fee is not as high as other similar camps. I like it.

The worst school ever. My daughter got punished from her teacher despite she was a child of determination. She kept her in the class while all her classmates were playing in the field. She exclude her from all class activities and the teacher assistant pinched her in several occasion.
All their stuff are fake. They smile to you but they never care about your child. They hired their assistants from cleaning companies and they are not qualified neither educated.
Never put your child there especially if he needs a learning support assistant. They will let you pay too much money and they will end up giving her to someone else. Be careful. Insist to have an LSA under your sponsorship and never hire one with her own visa or under the school's visa.

School is not important but the teacher does. For me I don't feel this school and its team are down to earth, it has hypocritical communication with parents, I always not getting a real answer or report. Tuition fee is high, there are some other schools with this level of tuition fees deliver better study environment and their ambient is much more friendly.

This school may have a history of hundreds of years, resulting in its traditional and pedantic management. If you think that any school with high tuition is a good school, then I suggest you think again. A good teacher is all what your children need. The name of the school is really not important, because gold only needs a good goldsmith to shine, anywhere.

I gave two stars because I had high expectation on this school but it turned out as disappointment in many aspects.
